OK I have read and read and read and read and read and read and searched and searched etc etc etc..... I have some questions on the z3 and the rsx transmission.

Can anyone confirm that the rear mount is in the same place or is it different?

The next question is on the rsx-s transmission.... reverse lockout necessary to make stock PRB ecu work?

I traded my k24a2 for a z3 and the rsx-s transmission with the TB adapter already on the RBC intake and the stock ecu. I did a lot of work also in the deal.

Anyways I just need to verify some information before I get too deep into this thing.

The rear mount should be the same. All k-series transmission/ engines are interchangable per vehicles except the k23a1 (rdx engine) and k24a2 (tsx transmission). I believe you can use any ecu (k-pro) on a 6 speed, just some ecu's don't offer the reverse lock out (if that's what you are trying to ask)

k20z3 rear engine mount is part of the oil pan. Swap out oil pans and you can use a standard rear transmission mounting engine mount...

Well I am running the ecu PRB stock for now.... I wanted to know if you had to run the wires for reverse lockout for the ecu itself to work.... not the reverse lockout. I can wire it up just asking for testing purposes.

That explains why the oil pan was changed out....OH and thanks for the QUICK reply....

Just finished a 4x100 big brake upgrade to 11" fronts using mini cooper rotors and some tl calipers.

I am trying to wrap the swap up by the new year so I can get the paint work done durring the new years weekend. Want my swap in first.

Nah reverse lockout wiring is not required for the ECU to work... its required for electronic reverse lockout to work.

Yah, since the EP rear engine mount attaches to the trans... and youre using an RSX trans... then youre good as far as that it concerned...

LOL I had an 06 SI. Its got a wishbone style torque mount that goes from the oil pan to the subframe. And since the subframe is also home to the EPS rack... its an effing nightmare to work on. There is just NO room to get your hands anywhere on that chassis. Its actually easier to drop the engine through the bottom if you wanna do any major maintenance...

I think I am smart enough to prevent myself from going into reverse. I used to run a valet company in my younger years and have driven lots of cars with 6th gears and reverse and 5/6 in different places. I think I am good there. Only reason to wire it up is for the wifey driving! LOL... Thanks for the input..

the biggest problem with women shifting into reverse accidentally?
they're out of the kitchen. hahaha

Ok so I just checked this motor out again. The pan was not swapped (I was wrong). The pan bracket was removed and there was fresh hondabond on it. So my questions are: Do you really have to swap the pans.... looking at the block itself there is already holes in it for other brackets that are tapped.

I think I have this sorted out but want it to go as smooth as possible. Thanks for all the input and so on.

Here is my brake upgrade I did for under 100 bucks... 11" rotors and CL 3.0 calipers (same as TL)

I like the brake setup... i wonder if the caliper/bracket on the EP interchanges with the caliper/bracket on my EJ. I should be able to do the same setup if so...

The oil pan swap is only to have clearance. If they modified it and it doesnt get in your way then you should be fine.

Oh... you and your sister are invited to my house for Monopoly... HA!

Did you do all four or just the front? What size are the stock rotors? That sounds pretty sweet. My ep3 is going to be a freakin frankenstein.

I just did the fronts.... stock rotors on EP are 9.3 or something small and since the rears are already a larger size than most 4x100 our stuff is actually utilized for DA/DC/EG/EK/.... I did that back in 02 on a DA using ep rear calipers and rotors. Now my fronts are 11" and I am using the CL/TL calipers and 25T brackets. STOPS ON A DIME...

read my small post in the brakes section.... lemme see if I can find it....

OH last questions- can I use my stock axles on the rsx 6 speeed trans?

Yep. You only have to worry about the axle outers if you 5 lug swap with larger hubs (or just use RSX-S axles then).

What size wheels are you running? Im not moving to 17s. Too much wheel and not enough rubber for me.

I thought so based on the fact that the inner looks to be the same spline counts. I just wanted to verify. Appreciate it much!
