I'll be hunting craigslist over the winter trying to pick up a set of EVO 8 wheels - I found a few photos on here of people who have them, can't seem to find an answer to what size tires they are running and if spacers are needed. Anyone who can shed light would be much appreciated.

I have a set. No spacers needed, they are almost a perfect fit, unless you are going "hellafrush". Anything larger than a 215/40 in the rear and you'll most likely have to roll your rear fenders. Front are will fit almost perfect as well. You'll need spiggot rings and mitsubishi specific lug nuts. Other than those, you'll be golden.

According to this:
http://64.78.164.236/index.php/Stock_wheel_specs
...they are 35mm offset.

Stock EP3 offset is +45mm. This means that you will not need spacers, and that they will stick out 10mm farther than stock. They are also 8" wide, which is I believe 1.5" wider than stock. You're going to have to pay attention to your tire widths so that you don't rub, but I think it should be a good combination. I would look at running 215s. I assume you have a 5-lug 04-05 EP3 as well, since they are 5x114.3.

Edit: Ah, you beat me to it MugenReplica. Nice looking EP3.

Someone also has the MR BBS wheels which look ever-so-amazing, IMO.

Thanks everyone - yes, 04 EP3 / 5 Lug, and I knew about the hub-centric rings / lugs, that is an easy scoop, finding the wheels is proving to be a little harder than I thought, but it's winter here in PA so I'm sure by spring more will start showing up.

Yea, just let me know ahead of time...

Also, Iwill have some EVO VIII rims for sale soon. Three rims perfect, with and addional 4th that is badly curbbed and 3 perfect 215/50/17's included. You can get another rim/tire combo on Ebay for $100. I was going to go there, but decided on getting some Team Dynamic 15x7's with 195/55/15's for my Type S/brembo 5 lug upgrade instead.

No prob bob.

Hey mugen those 215s look just fine on the x8 wheel. Looks damn perfect! Stock is 235/45 for them all, 8/9/mr. You couldn't fit a 225 at least on there?

Not in the rear without rolling my fenders, so I just used a smaller tire and they fit about perfect. In the fronts I had 225/40/17's.:msmile:
