I have a 5 spd k series trans i installed mfactory lsd and final drive gear i got the transmission back together. The mainshaft spins while in neutral like butter, first gear is the same way. Second gets a little tougher but still spins. Third, Fourth, and Fifth i get nothing. Reverse i get a small amount of spin. Btw im spinning by hand. It shifts into every single gear like butter. I am just nervous installing it into the car if its incorrect.:mcry: Bearings are new. Thank you for the feedback.

it should always spin. check if the output/diff is spinning. it should. you can't put the transmission together wrong, it wont fit. lol.

If youre talking about spinning the mainshaft by hand with the clutch splines... then the taller the gear the harder is should be to spin by hand. As stated the LSD should spin as well... slower in 1st and fastest in 5th.

the diff does spin to help clear things up a bit. i am able to spin the mainshaft in third, fourth, and fifth i just cant do it by hand like i can in first, and second. i have to use a rag and pliers and i can get it to spin since im not strong enough. is that normal i just didn't know if in fact it is supposed to do what Ba82Ep3 is saying which makes sense. "taller the gear harder too spin" thanks guys

Yeah i had to bow up on it to spin 6th by hand. Odds are youre ok tho. You did check LSD/trans case shim clearance?
