Hey everyone,

I've been browsing around these forums for a long time, never posted anything since I havent owned an ep3 yet.

I need a little help, if help can be given.

I'm looking at an 04 Si with 67k on the clock. Seller is asking 8500 for it. Seems kinda low right? Well it has a salvage title.

I know what the car looked like before the dealer had it fixed, wasnt banged up 2 bad, and now, from a few feet back, it looks brand new.

the car needed new bumpers, front grille, headlights and tails.

From the auction it came with the bumpers, grille and lights. Bumpers already painted. He got the car for 3000. He doesnt know I know this.

I also know that he does a lot of work with a local body shop, so he must have gotten a good deal on the body work it needed. Looked to me like paintless dent removal in the back of the car.

The bumpers are painted like str8 shit. Needs new paint. My friends owns a body shop and he said to have both painted properly could be around 600ish.

The dealer is asking 8700 for the car. without me even having to having to haggle the guy he said he'd take 8k out the door.( tags taxes smog....)

I feel even at 8k that's still high for a car with a junk title... I could be wrong though. Never dealt with a dealer, or a car with a salvage title.

I'm going to make him an offer of 6700...good or bad???

Any input is awesome guys!

Thanks,
Ken

OMG, so overpriced. I bought mine 04 Si with 70k on the clock, clean title, never been in an accident for 8500$, and it was 3 years ago. I can sell you mine, in great condition for 7500$, now it has ~95k on the clock.

Don't pay over 5g's for that badboy. Better yet, don't buy it at all. Wait for a clean title, they're around.
