Found this site yesterday trying to look for more info on the new Si...this site is excellent!

Bought my 02 Si in black yesterdsay, i guess i got a good deal on it...$1000 under invoice, purchased the Lo-Jack package, got a coupon from Honda for a free install CD changer for purchase/lease any 02 Si, now just have to wait for the dealer for installation along with Lo-Jack. Also got a great financing deal at 1.9% APR for 60 months. Really can't beat this deal.

Just wanted to drop in to greet everyone.

(My brother & I bought a new Si back in 1989...he is still driving it with 240k miles...hopfully my Si will be around for that long)

PS: I tried to remove the much hated blue pinstripes on my Si, tried with the hair dryer trick but wasn't able to remove it..please advice.

Thanks,

There is a get together in NJ on the 19th I believe. Check out the regional forums. Congrats on your new Si. I think we made a great choice.

I have found the forums on this site to be very informative already. I am sure you will as well.

For the pinstripes, the plastic razor always works good. If you get real desperate throw a little lighter fluid on its ass :)
AND NO IT DOES NOT HURT THE PAINT!

BTW welcome to the site :D

Ahh.. lighter fluid. it shouldnt damage it, but be sure to wash it off just in case.

Gongrats and welcome

The hairdryer technique works, you just have to be patient.
Don't pull too fast, and don't use too much heat.
Use something like Plexus to get any glue that is left over
off.

Welcome and Congrats on the new ride! Treat her well! Chosen a name? On yeah, go with the lighter fluid, but make sure to wash it off. Any pics of your new family addition?

Could you give more info on that free CD changer? Is that for anyone? There was a post earlier on this but no one really had a solid answer. Is there a website, pic, or something that you could show us?

Welcome. As for the decals go to Home Depot or hardware store they sell something in a little yellow can called Goo Gone or Goof Off I think. Usually by the registers, for like $3 you squirt it on and let it set for a min and then a rag to wipe it off. Works great and doesn

The free cd changer was a special promotion coupon I received in the mail from Honda when you buy/lease a 2002 Civic Si between December 1, 2002 through January 31, 2003. You have to have the actual coupon and present it to the dealer when buying the car.
