OK so i have a 03 ep3 with 64xxx miles. so far i have aem CAI and magnaflow catback exhaust. I know the first investment i need to get is kpro. after that im not sure which direction i want to take. k20a3 somewhat build with 10 pounds of boost. jrsc on the k20a3. or save for a k24 and a 6 speed tranny and call it a day and have a reliable car or samething with a a2 motor.

alot of ppl say the ep3 is slow and heavy. so would keeping the ep as a DD and building a eg or ek be the smarter choice. the parts for b series are cheaper and more ppl know how to work on those. let me know what you guys think.

Same exact predicament that I'm in right now. Lmao. My car will b paid off n the next couple months. Looking at the same idea as u, k24 w/ 6spd. Or getting an eg like u said. Ive already owned an ls swapped eg and it was sick. Wouldn't mind building one up! Plus the amount of parts for them is ridiculous

Don't listen to them. Once a K, always a K! A turbo would be nice, you only have 64k on the car. Don't go cheap on turbo setup though. I would personally go with a k24 swap.

+2 why add extra goodies to an eg/ek so it can get stolen? Stay with a K bro! You will thank me later:mcool:

Here's an idea, save your money, lol. Economy is eff'ed, and gas should be around $4-475 gallon this summer.

Not to thread jack or anything, even tho it relates to his topic, where is the best place to pick up a k24a2?? And a full 6spd?? Is a junkyard the best bet? Ive been looking on the net for a while and never really came across anything or any good sources

I,ve been looking on craigslist and there is a tsx 6 speed trannny with 16000 for $500. it sounds to good to be true but if everything checks out that would be a great buy. and i think i will stick with a k. I'm leaning toward the rev hard turbo kit. If i do buy it is there additional things i will need to get?

Rev hard is a good starting point. You might think about upgrading the clutch while you are doing the turbo install.

Also injectors, better motor mounts, clutch, upgrade spark plugs, RBC but that's optional... All really depends on what kind of numbers you are looking to push

I would like to see 300 hp. So from my search i think im going to get stage 2 cams, springs and retainers, rev hard turbo kit. 550 cc injectors. Question would the a2 cams be better than stage 2?

I would do this..
1. KPRO
Get this, install it, load up the reflash. Have fun with it until you get money for other things.
2. Get a header, you'll need one for the k24 swap anyway. And, you can use it in the meantime with your stock a3.
3. car-part.com for a k42a2 (TSX motor)
4. The EP3 trans will work, so you don't have to worry about that. Then get the gaskets and other things like the CRV side mount ($20) to put the engine in.

With the stock TSX motor and a tune you will see good numbers. You could go turbo and easily make a lot of power, well over 300. Or, just put on a JRSC and be in the 300's.
