4600 miles on my baby but i am starting to notice this wear on the seats. It seems a bit premature. None of the pants i wear have any buttons or snaps that would rub and do this. Any one else have this problem? I dont know whats up. Guess ill have to get the red type r recaros :)

that is not normal wear & tear, especially at 4600 miles. make an inquiry with the dealer

That looks bad.
Do you have a wallet in your back pant pocket?

I know the seat in my other car has premature wear because of my wallet. Just a thought...

i had a similar problem on my 1998 civic. i took it back to the dealer and they replaced the seat COVER only, not the entire seat.

take the car back see what they tell you good luck...........

ouch, looks like someone took some velcro and went crazy on your seats. you should be able to get replacements... that shouldn't be happening with only 4600 miles on the car. my seats look as perfect as the day i got the car.

Called my dealer and they want to see the seat and have already expressed that they will probably order a new seat cover to have installed. That would be excellent.

With that little bit of miles on the car, they had da^^n well order it. So far so good with this dealer though.

I will let everyone know how it goes.

damn! that's crazy. I have 13k miles and nothing wrong. Even had my dog hunter slobber on the damn seats...thank God his saliva came out

21000 Km's here...nothing like that. That is what the warranty is for though...the dealer should replace it.

Over 30k (kms) on it now, and no seat wear, I guess if I were a foot shorter then it would rub along the seat belt shoulder. But the seats in general are holding up fine.:)

Heading to the dealer this morning so I will let everyone know how it goes.

I have decided that nothing and I mean nothing is to be set in the seats besides a person. And even then they had better be careful about what they have in their pockets.

Everything in the hatch that needs to be carried.

Wish there was a hatch pop on the key fob...

FYI

Dealer looked at the area which is very small at this point and said that the pull looks to be very small and that there is not a hole. The Service MGR said no to the claim but opened a ticket and documented the pull at 700 miles on the car. He said if it gets worse over time there will be documentation and that a claim will stand. I thought that was fair and let it go.
