I know alot of you have them --- basically, anyone wanna do a breakdown of how you did it ---

1) I couldn't even budge the bolts in the hatch? any ideas?

2) Also, does it have to go over the carpet? can it go under?

3) Can the plastic pieces in the hatch be put back on after the installation of the bar?

4) if not, are there any other brands of rear bars that you can put under the plastic and carpeting?

I could of sworn I saw one hidden under the carpet with the plastic pieces in the hatch still intact on here a while back ... Anyone remember that? Am I smoking rock >>> ?

Yes the bolts are on there are pretty damn tight. Are you using a socket extension so you can get a little more leverage on them. Yes it can go under. Yes the plastic pieces can go back with some modification.

Here is mine with the carpet folded over the backs of the seats. And you can kinda see the mods needed to fit the plastic peices back.

And here is after everything is put back.

Installing it was easy, only took me 30 minutes, could had been faster if I found the tools I needed.

Since the bar doesn't come align, I decided to remove the bracket/mounts from the bar and install the mounts by themself. You'll need a socket extension and a 14mm deep socket. Align the bar and install them back to the bracket/mounts. When the nut is tight, there should be a 1" inch screw/spiral space. Recheck all your bolts and you're set.

Cut or not to cut the plastic? I'd say no, keep it as it is. Also, I'd leave the bar on top of the carpet. Might forget I have a bar under the carpet and placing a heavy object over it. Never know will it bend the bar or not over time.
