Hi, I was wondering if someone can do a through DIY pressure wash engine bay. Detials on what and what to cover and how to do it. I've seen people talk about it, but haven't seen anybody actually do it in a video. My concern is just that I want to see people actually walk out alive after pressure water washing their engine bays.

Thanks in advance.

just cover your alternator and air filter if you don't have the stock airbox. other than that it's pretty simple. and let it dry out for a decent period of time before you start it

Is it that easy? Don't have to cover any wires or anything? Thanks

yeah i mean engine bays are obviously waterproof to protect from rain. you just don't want TOO much water getting into your alternator or air filter.

When you pressure wash, don't spray a long time in one spot. Wash it as if you were spray painting rims or something......even/quick movements. Like previously stated, cover the alternator, and the air filter (if you can), don't spray too much on the fuse box. A good way to do this is to quickly spray everything, then add degreaser or some soap (whatever you're using) and then rinse it all off with the power washer.
Its really not that big of a deal.
