Not for long. Thanx to me and my big mouth, everyone and their mom has these on their S2000. Nice to still be the only one in the country with 16 inch though  Unfortunately i was talking about my wheel size

Eman, sweet choice man. The eight spoke version that you got is even lighter than the 10 spoke that i got. If you got the 35mm offset like i suggested you are really going be happy once you slap these on.

When is yoru car going to be ready? We gotta hit the canyons again soon. OOOPPPSS. I meant DRIVE the canyons ;)

Yeah, and im lucky to be here today. Which is why i always sound I always sound like an ass because i tell you guys to slow down, hoping that none of you would ever have to go through what i did. Waking up in a hospital room undergoing surgeory is no fun.

Unfortunately, priorities have pushed the rear brake set up back a little. WIth the race season at hand, i promised a few friends i would help them with their cars. Check out OTC this year, I ll have a few buddies running some new stuff I m currently working on. Should be quite an intersting event.

i know you painted over the scratch but what about the hole in your bumper from hitting the rail?

so are you still driving in the canyons with 20 psi?
hahahahah

95 GSR
01-15-2003, 11:31 AM
I never drove in the canyons with 20psi...
i started at 25 and it warms up to about 28-29psi...

SpeedRacer
01-15-2003, 12:00 PM
you dont have to lie to kick it. you kept saying how it is better to run with 20 psi it helps you grip better. i saw you take the pressure out of your tires at the gas station with my own eyes they i saw you put the psi gauge to it. anyways i dont want to argue with you. just mind your own business.

95 GSR
01-15-2003, 12:13 PM
ur so full of shit Iman.
why do i have to lie?? its not posible to drive in the canyons or any road course below 23psi, its dangerous!!! your tire can pop off the rim...
20psi??? where did u get that BULLSHIT!!!??!!

SpeedRacer
01-15-2003, 12:27 PM
your tire can pop off or you might run into a guard rail. which one did you do? we were'nt driving fast at all i was right behind you and your car just kept going straight instead of turning right. maybe just maybe it was due to you having low psi. You had better tires then me and you still lost traction. try raising your PSI in the canyon and taking your friends advice. yea i crashed but i spun out because the ground was wet and had no room for correction.

95 GSR
01-15-2003, 12:41 PM
yea running low psi could be a reason that a car would do that my car did, but my tires were around 28-29psi at the time i hit the rail. And remember i told u , and kept telling u that it was my fuckup..cuz i let off in the turn. I remember i down shifted accellerated to early and let off, then my brakes locked and just went straight:'( , shouldn't have guessed the turn, i hate does turns that keep turning:'(

What did you weigh at 8lbs? Unless those are 14" volks, no way they are 8lbs.

Volk ce28n's in a 16" size weigh about 13lbs, not 8. My 15" ce28n's weigh around 10lbs.

Suk02Si

When we picked 'em up from Showstoppers, the tires were already mounted on the wheel. Chuck told us they were weighed at 7.8lbs right before the tires were mounted.

No, that's not right. The lightest 15" wheel made is the Spoon SW388, and that wheel is about 8.5lbs. No way a larger 16" volk is less. More like 12.5 for the 16" volk.

The 16" TE-37 is ~12.5lbs.

You sure that was lbs and not kg he was measuring in?

DocofMind
01-20-2003, 12:35 AM
Actually, my CE28s weigh in at 11 and 11.5 front and rear respectively. Mine are 16 x 7 and 16 x 8.

Also, mine are the 10 spoke version, his are the 8 spoke version which are even lighter. You are also wrong about the Spoon wheel being the lightest. First of all, the wheel you aer talking about is made my Advan for spoon. Besides that, the CP035 that is made by a japanes company for racing heart is lighter than that too :)

DocofMind
01-20-2003, 12:36 AM
Thats also without lugnuts and valvestem. Those things do add up as well

speed racer had posted a link to the site of the company. It was in Japanese and had it in kg. When converted it came out to 7 and some change. Crazy I know.

okay found it, but this is for 15's so his is obviously heavier.

OKAY! Here we go! finally got it.
I'm not sure if he has 16x7, but according to this site, they only make a 4x100 in 16x8. So here it is: http://www.hartwheels.co.jp/cat_racinghart_035/racinghart_035_spec.htm

4/100 +43 5.39Kg = 11.883lbs

tkm

11.8lbs for the ce28n--that's more like it. My 15x7 8-spoke ce28n's don't even weigh 7lbs, so I know a 16" cannot. Just isn't possible.

And Advan does not make Spoon wheels. They are made by Desmond--a Russian company.

That Racing Hart posted is for a 15x6" wheel. The Spoon is 15x6.5 and a little heavier. I should have said the Spoon is the lightest 15x6.5" wheel, because it is.

The only use I can see for a 15x6" aftermarket wheel is if you need to stay with that size of a wheel for autox stock classes or something. Otherwise, a 6" wheel sucks.

Then they must make them for Advan as well. They are the same as the Advan RGs, regardless, they are ugly as shit. Sorry to my buddy who has them;) I just think the simple 5 spoke is about 20 years outdated
