Is there any company that makes non-resonated test pipes for our cars? Would a resonated test pipe be better? I know of the Megan test pipe but I'm looking for a test pipe that is 2.5 inches ID, I'm not interested in a RH because I plan to put together a nice little turbo kit, going to use a revhard downpipe and according to them it should match up to the stock cat so perfect fitment is important. Thanks in advance!

you could always just have one made. i think most fleabay ones are 2.25. somebody on here was selling a 2.5" one but it was resonated. i don't think the resonator will really cause any problems though.

I though about having one made but I don't really wanna spend more than $100... I would get an eBay one but I can't find one that is 2.5 inches

it shouldn't be more than 100 to have one made. have you asked an exhaust shop how much it would be yet?

Yeah, all around 150, I need the holes for the o2 sensors as well right?

hmm i wouldn't have guessed it would be that much. but yeah you will need the 02 holes.

i think it's popeye selling that 2.5" ebay one. maybe see if he still has it.

Do you have any experience with the ebay test pipes? I just want it to hold without the welds breaking or cracking

My ebay testpipe held up fine for the 2 months I beat on it last year. I'm actually thinking about pulling off the type-s exhaust and running it again. I miss being loud.

How much louder will my car be with a test pipe and greddy evo 2 catback? I love the sound of it when it's fully warmed up and i have little backfires/burps haha i was told ill have a little more backfires since less restriction?

It'll be a little more throaty/raspy, but with a nice catback like that it should sound good. You'll definitely get more backfire and your car will definitely be quite a bit louder.

You might want to avoid it. It's definitely loud. Though, if you drive like a granny, it stays pretty quiet.

I have a Megan racing test pipe since late 08 and now the resonator on the test pipe is rattling now. I'm also looking to get a new one with no resonator
