View Full Version : Pressure plate failure.

I put a act heavy duty pressure plate in 2 years ago and I think it just failed already. I don't drive it hard at all and the only mod to my engine is the intake. So it's not getting a lot of stress on it. It just seems a bit premature for it to fail already.

My clutch feels really soft and when I give it a little extra gas it slips. So I'm assuming that the fingers ate messed up. Anyone have any ideas and what's a good pressure plate that will last longer than 2 years?

I've had good luck with ACT clutches, and I know of people that love clutchnet.cim clutches.

With only an intake why did tou go with an hd pressure plate?

Yeah it pisses me of that it didn't last long.
I went with it bc I got a good price in it and plan on doing a hybrid swap in a little bit. My clutch had gone bad so I didn't want to do it again.

act comes with 3 year warranty so if you still have the original recipe they will replace it.

You only replaced the pressure plate?
