Just thought I would share a couple pics I took along the way of this install. Very basic way to do a wheel well enclosure.

Seems pretty cool might be trying this cause I want to throw in some kickers in my trunk but don't want to lose my trunk

How much did you spend on all the material and difficult was it to get it installed scale from 1-10(10 being very difficult
)

don't have any more pics, just snapped one whenever I thought of it.

Materials I had laying around already, only thing I bought specifically was the foam. If you are capable of making a regular mdf box then an install like this should be no problem

Heres what I did in mine.

Raised the floor up a bit to get the proper CF for the sub. Oh, Its a JL10W7.:mwink:

Lost a bit of trunk depth, but I can still stuff a crapload of stuff in there!

Im planning on doing the same...similar to the top post by making a box that fits in the well, and doing a "false floor" like in hondafrk's post...will post pics when i get around to it.

that w7 has to be awesome , i dont think i would put two back there just because in a hatch single subs sound great, i have a kicker l7 8 in a porte box and it hits just as hard as the 12 i took out of there. just a thought

You need a cage around those speakers. So what happens if you blow a tire?

What kind of difference is there when the cover plate is on or not?

Man I feel cheesy for what I did. I install a Pioneer spare tire sub from a Mazda. Not superbass but enough to make the system sound better.

However I still have a spare and full trunk space.

I think I paid $40 for it. Not easy to find, but I have seen them I ebay once and a while.
