View Full Version : Flush fitment minor rubbing issue

I rolled & installed my new wheels and it's not rubbing except that it rubs the rear bumper clips(where there's a bolt that hold the bumper).

Wheels specs:

527 17x8.25 +25 205/45r17

I know I have to cut them off to clear the tires, but does someone have a trick to hold the bumper after the clips are cut?

Thanx!

I will post pictures tommorow.

Adding more camber to solve this issue would be stupid..I'd need to run crazy ammount of camber to stop rubbing that bracket.

Cut the clips, and ziptie it.

how much is a "crazy amount of camber? lol.

I'm hoping that the natural camber from keeping the stock arms will help me clear that tab, because I just bought the same fitment wheels and have the same size tires.

You'll have to cut that tab no matter what, cut and & ziptie it like he said. I don't how I'll do it but I'll take picture for you if you want.

BTW, this wheel fitment is awesome...not poking to much and sitting flush! Rear natural camber is almost perfect...my rear camber kits are now useless I don't think I'll install them.

I have same exact same rims with 215/40/17. I am on eibach sportline springs, I had to pull my fenders little. Now they work great. R u on stock height

Alright, everything is fitted.

I cut the tabs & now the bumper hold with some tie wraps...perfectly!

Wheel fitment is AWESOME, I totaly love it...I'm on full D2 coilovers and I'll lower it again soon.

The tab you need to remove(1 bolt holding it)

More rear negative camber = more understeer = cones under car at SCCA :mfrown:
