2003 Honda Civic SI EP3 Build thread. SSM (Silver).
Purchased last year with 75k on the clock. It came with Tokico's and progress swings, along with an nvidea N1 exhaust, AEM AFR gauge, carbon triple A-pillar pod (fake carbon). I will be working to restore and update/upgrade this car and I am definitely open to any suggestions. This is my first Honda (car) and I am a newer owner, so I can assure you there is a lot I don't know and would like to learn. This build thread is to help me keep track of whats going on with my cars progress, and to get help from ep3hatchers.


I will post exterior pictures when I get a chance. For now, I am just starting this thread, it will be updated and revised.

15" integra blade wheels (currently installed)
Brand new HFP Fit Charcoal 16" wheels + center caps
New Falken Ziex 912 - 205/50/16's
N'1 exhaust
AEM cold air intake
tokico suspension with progress springs (waiting to remove this setup and sell them CHEAP lol. I have a brand new HFP setup to go on!)
JVC head unit (sucks lol)
Alpine 100w Amp
DEI 10" sub
UKDM tail lights *need to install
Password JDM carbon fiber covers
Carbon fiber A-pillar gauge w/ AEM AFR gauge
Brand new OEM Honda SI floormats
Brand new HFP full suspension just purchased!

Just bought 4 new falken ZIEX 612's in 205/50/16 from discount tire for $299 with valve stems, and a $100 mail in rebate. If you order by the end of the business day today, you get $100 mail in rebate on any 4 tires!

Rims will be here tomorrow in the afternoon. I hope they came with the centercaps like someone else's did on here. My next purchase is KPRO, then i'd like to get a brand new turbo kit. If I can push around 250-260hp I would be pretty happy with that. That should be enough power in a small weight package to take down some bigger competition I would think. I'd like to stay on the stock motor until it gives, then a full motor build would be next. Tires should be here on Friday.

List - Syn oil, filter, air freshener, air duct spray, white lith grease, spark plug grease, STP fuel treatment, A/C pro aircondition recharge kit, 2 qts honda MTF, laser NGK plugs, exedy clutch/pressure plate, f1 flywheel, brand new OEM master and slave cyl's, new grill w/ oem emblem, new OEM body clips (a-pillar)... Also *I know i have been saying this for 2 months* getting my HFP suspension, and HFP wheels + brand new falkens installed... going to try and do it this week when it cools down to 80 degrees.

I jacked my avic-d3 from my boosted tc thats getting turned in to toyota, and 2 JBL power amps (1 amp for 4 components, 1 for 2 subs). I did go out and buy another brand new kenwood head unit that is HD ready (built in).. Not sure IF I am going to use the new head unit, or the a3. Will post pics of both later today. My amps are sick (replacing my alpine amp, with 2 big ass JBL amps) and then its on to getting good components for front, and regular speakers for the rear.

Should turn out to be a nice car when I get through. Plans after that include OEM HFP body kit, and then on to kpro turbo/tune!

Oh yeah, bought brand new OEM headlights to match my brand new UKDM OEM tails :) Now I need new bulbs (headlights).. any serious recommendations? Price isnt so much an issue, but not interested in HIDs. I barely drive at night anyways - I wouldnt get any use out of them. Ive used osram/sylvania silverstars before on my old porsche 944 turbo.. are they still good for our cars, or is there a better choice?


Also bought new OEM wiper arms + blade inserts, new rear wiper arm/insert. Took off (threw away) the ricer arms/blades that were on the car from previous owner.

Next up waiting for brand new mudflaps (replacing the older ones on my car) and a new sunshade to come in from HandA.

Mega install day happened today! HFP suspension installed, UKDM type R dash cluster installed (everything works perfectly!!!! sick!) trans fluid flushed, oil changed, A/C fixed, UKDM tails installed, JDM honda shift boot installed... umm what else... new grill installed, swapped over my big JBL amp (600w) which replaced my 100w alpine lol.. this new amp I can tell will blow the DEI 10" I have if I didnt tune it down... waiting to install my 2 12's I stole from my supercharged tc (along with my avic-d3). lubed up ALL hinges/contact points with white lith grease.... changed spark plugs with the new laser iridiums (engine runs smooth as silk now). Overall it was a great day to be a EP3 owner!

Now next weekend I will get an alignment, and throw my HFP 16's on (w/ new tires). cant wait. I will finally post pics of my car most likely tomorrow. She really came together nice today.

HFP wheels and tires installed w/ s2000cr lug nuts. Purchased brand new fog lights, honda shoulder pads, OEM ashtray (flip top) and brand new mudguards. Ordering misc interior pieces, and something to fix my HFP shocks (I need the rubber seat bottoms for the suspension.. NO idea why they were not on when purchased new). Ordered misc body clips too.

Will update with new rim pics this weekend. They def look sick, and better than the GSR blades I had.

Bought a brand new EMUSA turbo kit from AUtiger, and Kpro from Gamma. Need to buy injectors, and get turbo installed/tuned at innovative motorworks.

Then its on to rebuilding the transmission. I may be selling my brand new stage 1 clutch and flywheel (also have a near brand new clutch master and slave to sell regardless) , dont know if I need to go to a stage 2 or 3 yet. I will be installing my brand new OEM honda master/slave when I do the clutch. Also going to build the trans at that point.

Next after that, replica type R body kit, then I am painting the car the VW united grey color, maybe with just a little gold flake paint in (its silver right now.) I want a darker color, and like the VW grey.

purchased a bunch of new interior plastics. Installed new shift knob that RK gave me. Got my new tie rod ends from Pat, and bought a pretapped oil pan for "project pssshh". Looking to cruise around at 7psi.

Looking to get everything installed by october.

Installed my kpro, swapped out my 10" dei audio sub with a 1400w 12" pioneer champion sub, and also bought a mugen rep wing in SSM.

Paid for headlights from moonsi but i havent heard anything from him in almost a week. hope everything is ok
