So since I started working again and im working at a speedshop, I was thinking of going with some bigger wheels. My 15s just aren't cutting it any more. Anyways, I was thinking of going to some 16s, just because I daily drive my car, don't wanna go with too small a tire due to the shittyness of the roads here. So I looked up a few sets of rims while I was at work, just to see what I could get for a decent price/something that looks decent. I came up with a list of these wheels, just can't make up my mind on them right now..

Konig Retrack (have them like this in 15x7.5, 16x7 have a slightly smaller lip and more offset)

I really like my Retracks, but think I wanna make a change to something different.

What do you guys think??

17" tires can be expensive, though 16's aren't much better. I thing 16" would be ideal, but have no opinion on wheel choice :msmile:

running seventeens doesn't automatically mean no tire unless you run ultra ghey low profile ones. i say upgrade to at least 16s regardless. 15s make the ep look like a toy haha

I'm on 16x7 rpf-1 43 offset with 205 50 tires. They feel great, as far as aesthetics go, they're not too beefy. If you have a nice lowering, it will look good.

personally I like 17`s. 16s are to small. I have 17s with 215/40/17 Never had problem. Since you will be buying bigger than 15, you will also need new tires. If I were you I would get 17`s with 45. So you may have some beefy tires.

I would go with some RPF1s, but the problem is 1. I'm broke, 2. I'm not sure of the fate of my EP over the next year and don't really feel like sinking $1200-1500 into wheels that I'm gonna be selling off later. Yea my 15's really do bug me though, way too small for the size of the car. I know 17s doesn't automaticaly mean shitty ride, but I'm still leaning towards 16s just to have that extra bit of comfort factor.

For 16s I priced out a set of 215/50R16s at like $70 a tire from my work for a set of Nankangs (I don't need anything crazy or special) or like $85 for a set of Falken ZE912s (what im running now). So tire pricing isn't a big deal for me. If I go up to 17s, I can get a set of nankangs for less than $100 a pop.

And also, I'm really really sick of the "stanced" look too that everyone is doing. So I don't wanna go with some goofy offset/fitment size, mainly because as I said, I DD this car and don't want to have to sink $ into rolling my fenders and replacing wheel bearings on a constant basis just to look "cool".

With the CTR kit you have installed, 15's are gonna look small. I know how you feel, we have crappy roads in Wisconsin too. I upgraded my wheels this past year, going from 205/50/15s:

to 205/50/16s:

Aesthetically, it looks more proper. There's more cushion with the ride, plus the 205/50/16s corrected the speedo near close to stock which helps with gas mileage.

You never have to sell the car with rpf1s. Those rim hold their value. Hell I've seen beaten up spray painted ones for for 800easily
