If it's just a gear and nothing else, I would consider selling mine with trade for yours since I'm going PPG.

Wow how many miles your tranny had?
My last tranny gave up at 180k miles and only cause I got another one with 56k for free.
And I put that tranny through hell. It went through 3 diff setups n 2 motor swaps.
N/a Nos n turbo.

She's got 130 on her, mind you I beat the shit out of my car, when I get on it I full throttle shift every gear but 1 to 2, and I'm not bad at it at all, even my tuner said there is no need for him to enable full throttle shift, I've never grinded or anything shifting like that, on the street, at the track, etc. but if I went to shift fast and let off the gas like a normal shift it would grind 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th

What in the would is the difference when you enable full throttle shifting

What in the would is the difference when you enable full throttle shifting
it cuts igniton (or fuel) when the clutch switch input is tripped as to unload the transmission

well guys i think i may have decided on an 02-04 type-s six speed swap with the 4.3 FD instead of my five speed, gtimportfanatic has generously decided to modify a shifter assembly for me and send it to me, anyone have any thoughts? i think 300whp with a six speed would be great fun

idk im skeptical bout those 6 speeds ill never ditch my 5 speed
ive raced tons of 6 speed turbo k series and boi i smoke them while all in one gear, they have to play catch up while shifting :rotfl:

x2 I would stick with the 5 spd for a turbo setup

I think you should push the limits a bit more, I was too scared too do so when i was turbo'd.

i want to man trust me, but this experience of FINALLY breaking something with this car has taught me something, i am HORRIBLE at saving money, i dont have the money at this particular moment to fix her, i thought i would but then i sat down and thought of all the shit i have this month, wedding, car payment, insurance, hotel for wedding, etc. i literally cant do it. and pushing the limit can easily become more expensive we all know that, and i dont want to sacrifice a beautifully running A3 to be a guinea pig, i did that with the JRSC, but not this

Ya I can imagine the extra torque is fun. Only downside to my k20a is its lacking in that department. Oh well maybe it will blow and then ill "have" to start with a fresh platform *snaps fingers

Actually its a plus for u. If ur just on street tires and having fun on the streets all that tq is useless. I rather have less tq and more hp like u than all the useless tq I have. It looks good on a sheet of paper but on the streets its worthless. Even 298 is Prolly excessive

Ya I think you're right. And ya it is a bit excessive once I spool up fully. Just spins and spins. I think that is honestly what kills my track times and my tires as well lol either way its still a good feeling to KNOW what your car is capable of
