So i installed a set of rokkor coilovers and my toe was way out of whack afterwards.. I had to change the tie rod ends in the process and now down at the alignment shop the mechanic says i need longer tie rod ends to correct the toe problem.
I was under the impression the existing tie rods work?
Any input is appreciated.

My toe is fine, on OEM ends and inners.
But some people for some reason can't get back to 0*. Usually they'll buy inverted tie rod ends(t1r), or modified inner tie rods(http://www.dvrace.com/tierods.html)

We just installed these, I used some moog tie rod ends. The toe was pretty bad. Took it to the alignment shop and they adjusted it with no hassle.

Hahaha
Funny cuz when i installed my rokkor coilovers and went in for an alignment the shop said they couldnt straighten out my toe as well bc my outer tir rod was busted, replaced it with a regular one and it was close to runing out of threads to get rid of toe... Im guessing aftermarke ones r needed with these bad boys

Any of you running camber kits?

some people have this issue and some dont. i ran out of threads on my stock tie rods with my BC racing coils and had to pick up the DVrace custom adjustable tie rods.

if your adjusting your suspension geometry- you need adjustable camber kits unless you like buying new tires all the time

Stock arms in the rear ~3* of camber. RSX camber plates in the front ~2.5*. 0* Toe in the front, 0.2* IN, in the rear.

I got them through fepster on here. I'm local to his shop so I just went in person and picked them up. I'm not sure if he'll ship but it couldn't hurt to ask. btw, he had the best price and I got a chance to check out his whip. It was amazeballs.

I have some T1R inverted tie rod ends on the way to correct the toe. Got them off clubrsx(k series parts).
A concern is brought up, they are made for a DC5... Can someone verify these will fit the EP3 tie rods and EP3 specific Rokkor coilovers??

If not I am screwed for another week...

The t1r parts came today.
The alignment shop just told me they are having some fitment issues. He said when he installed the new ends to the correct toe measurements, reattaching to the strut is difficult because the nut is getting tight before it reaches past the cotter pin hole.

Please, someone tell me they're running T1R inverted tie rod ends on their ep3 spec racelands/rokkors...

Just reused my stock tie rod ends. On raceland that is.

rsx tie rods only work with rsx coils. you need ep3 specific inverted tie rods.

I would've opted for the inner rod, personally. Definitely get the EP3 spec inverted ends.

-CRV tie rod ARMS are shorter and should fit the Ep3. A few guys supposedly did it back in the day to fix steering rack creak.

-You need EP3 specific INVERTED tie rod ENDS. RSX-S strut kits need RSX-S tie rod ends.

-I just purchased an inexpensive strut kit and will be flipping Moog RSX-S tie rod ends upside down (aka inverting them) and machining the front strut perch to accomodate the larger RSX-S tie rod end if possible. 2004EP3HATCH, WhatsVTEC and myself will be checking out how it works.

For reference, look here.....http://www.ephatch.com/forum/showthread.php?58527-DIY-MugenReplica-N1-Suspension-(DIY-amp-pics-coming-after-victim-err-volunteer)

wouldn't shorter tie rod arms only add to the problem? or am i thinking of the wrong thing here?

for any of you guys that need more toe adjustment... ive been using the DVrace custom adjustable tie rods and they have been holding up just fine. a PIA to install but makes adjusting your toe a cake walk.
http://www.dvrace.com/tierods.html

note- these are only for the guys that are running out of threads on their stock tie rods when trying to adjust toe. the inverted tie rod ends are for the guys that want to go super slow without causing too much of a tie rod angle causing extreme stress on your steering rack.

Where did you guys get EP3 spec inverted tie rod ends?

I've already dropped 110 on new oem ends, to find out i needed longer ones, dropped 230 on t1r ends that don't fit, as well as 100 in other spare parts. So much for a $400 coilover setup!

The EP3 spec inverted tie rod ends can be found here: http://www.speedstar-racing.com/store/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/31_46/products_id/415?osCsid=4eabbcc2ff86697ce4e9c5efd38d30d1

I just ordered a set! So far i've spent $560 just on tie rod ends! Woohoo!

So after I got my suspension in and aligned it still doesn't feel crisp. Kind of a numb steering feel. Almost like I need the alignment to be tighter/finer tuned. Anyone else feel this with the rokkors?

Sorry to bring this topic up again, but i am planning to buy a slightly used set of tein monoflex for the rsx for my ep3. I wanted to buy the new style T1r inverted tie rod ends, i need to purchase the Rsx tie rod ends, correct? Has anyone used the version two T1r tie rod ends yet? They apparently are longer and catch more threads.

Yes, if you are using RSX coilovers, you need the RSX spec tie rod ends. The bolt on the RSX tie rod end is thicker than the EP3 one, this is why the DC5 inverted tie rod ends didn't fit on my EP3 spec coilovers.

Just picked up 3 Raceland front ends to try my DIY Mugen N1 style tie rod ends on. Updates as soon as I get money together and can get WhatsVTEC & 2004EP3HATCH down for the install session.
