My car won't start and was wondering if anyone had any suggestion to what could be wrong. Drove my car to my girlfriends parents house. Went to leave and my car won't start and is not turning over. It started fine when I left my house and had no problems starting at all. The battery is new and I replaced a battery terminal. I have power to all accessories. Thanks for the help guys.

Did you try pop starting it or whacking the starter?

don't worry about the spark plugs, they won't prevent the engine from turning over. first thing to do is check the fuses, specifically "ign" fuses or anything that sounds like it may go to the ignition. if you have a voltmeter, check the wire going to the starter solenoid to make sure it is getting power when you are trying to crank over the engine. if that has power then your starter is possibly dead. try whacking the solenoid with a wrench or something, sometimes it just gets stuck. if that wire has no power, check your relays, and look for shorts or frayed wires. it could also be a problem with your ignition switch.

Start with the easy stuff first..... check the battery terminals to make sure theyre not corroded and/or loose. swear this is the most common prob...or a dead battery it is possible to get a bunk battery off the shelf. Perhaps something is shorting and dranin your batt. altanator could be shot, etc etc move to the hard stuff after you check the easy
