hi all,

got a question for you experts - have an 02 ephatch with stock radio / cd unit - changed the battery and now the radio is asking for a code - I lost the original paperwork. Honda dealer says they can no longer locate the code as the car is 10 years old -

What do you all suggest I do - any advise would help -

Saludos, and thanks in advance -

That's bullshit. They can look up the code using your vin... I went 6months ago just for my radio code. If they still won't budge grab a business card from the guy that won't give you your radio code and call Honda corporate.

They did that to me when I pulled in asking for my radio code. They wanted to charge me 60 dollars for it. I asked why? They stated they needed to pull my radio out etc etc. I was like orly? Yanked it out handed it to him and asked for my radio code. He asked for my vin afterwards and didn't say anything

Actually, you dont need to go through all of that. Open your glove box, release the tabs on each side to drop the glovebox all the way down, and your code will be on a piece of paper right there where you can see it. I had to do the same exact thing when I got my car. Hell, I never even got around to putting the tabs back. Pisses my wife off when she opens the glovebox. lol

yea, and now, after looking at this Im going to get a 35% tint, and that blitz ipod connector deal - is that still the best option for the stock radio?

My local dealer charged $5 for the code. It wasn't a big deal and was in and out in a jiffy. They BS'ed you on that one. The Blitzsafe is possibly the best option for your IPOD integration but there are other brands that sell similar items. I have a Peripheral Ipod2Car adapter that does the exact same thing. Once I reach 100 posts you may see it in the classifieds.
