Found some RSX DC5 Type-r wheels and am wondering if they will fit the EP3 directly or require spacers or whatnot. Can't find a direct answer via google or here. Thanks.

you can bolt them on, but a spacer would make them look better

Thanks, but can you expound upon that? Will they be too offset outwards, inwards, etc?

I just looked at my buddys set-up he has the brembo's so it alters the the offset, you wil need 20mm spacers to work

What he means is that they'll be tucked into the wheel wells to the point that they will strike something, whether it's a brake component or a suspension part. The spacer is going to push it further out towards the fender and away from the car.

i thought the dc5 wheel had the same offset as the ep3 wheels...ive seen people running the dc5 5 spokes without an issue or spacers

Not those ones. If I remember they are something like et60, hence the 20mm spacer.

Yes, they are +60 and the ep3 is +45. Sucks because this was a great deal. I just don't want to deal with spacers, but really would like the type-r white wheels on my nhbp.

If you have DC5R aluminium front lower control arms, they add that extra width to your suspension to make the wheels fit under the wheel well.

I had a set. I ran 5mm spacers and they still hit the rear trailing arm. That is correct that they are +60 offset, which is different than RSX wheels. You need a 15mm to be at stock, but a 20mm would probably be the best, IMO.

You know, now that you mention the rear trailing arm, something comes to light.

When I bought a full RSX-S brake swap, it came with the RSX rear trailing arms (they are the same between base and Type S) and I noticed that on the RSX arms they have a more pronounced bend inwards towards the car in the middle of the arm when compared to the EP3 trailing arms.

I'm almost certain that if you used RSX rear trailing arms the DC5-R wheels will clear without the use of spacers. If I feel like jacking my car up tonight I'll take a picture cause I still have my old EP3 trailing arms for comparison.

you have 2 options:
1) spacers with built in bolts. easier, more cost efficient
2) replace control arms with DC5r pieces

nothing wrong with spacers even if you track it once in a wile.
