View Full Version : DIY: Shift Boot Collar *FREE*

Tired of having an aftermarket shift knob but having to keep that ugly chrome piece under the knob? Well here's your solution and it's free!

Remove the lower part of the dash to get to the chrome piece.

Use needlenose pliers to separate the chrome piece from the black piece holding it on.

Simply flip the pieces and put the chrome piece inside the boot and the black piece on the outside!

It may not look like the JDM shift boot but it looks a hell of a lot better than the big chrome piece just chillin under the knob plus it's free!

that looks tight awesome idea. I may do this when I trade but I like the chrome piece to be honest

Yeah!!! I did this years ago when i got my BCSS and a knob. Has worked for 4-5 years now!

Perfect alternative for jasmine shift boot. I use tape wrapped around the shifter to hold it up.
