S-tecs were like 1.4-1.5 in drop if i remember correctly. They were actually my first suspension mod back in the day. I was on 17in wheels with 205/45 tires and i didnt have an issue. they are pretty sweet for what they are- they ride nice and handle pretty decently as well. they were only a bitch to install because you need a spring compressor- besides that its pretty easy. you may need a camber kit though. enjoy

Only reason you would need a camber kit is for negative camber..which means you might wear your tires out a little faster,i have a camber kit on mine and i wear out tires probly every 2 years. But im a little lower, and dont have an alignment either. The camber kit is only useful with an alignment. I have more stuff to put on so ive got no point. But you should be fine with no camber kit..the only bitch i had with lowering mine is tehe front springs. I had trouble getting the tie rods from the shock. Other than that its pretty straight forward. Hope that helps.

Just took out my s-techs a couple weeks ago and put coils in. Ran the S-Techs for a bit less than 2 years. You notice a difference in wheel gap but there is still some since ep3's are 4x4 stock. I ran 215/50/16 with no rubbing issues when I had S-Techs

I have pics of the install here:
