I know there's been some speculation if 225's will fit on a 6" wide wheel. A pic is worth a thousand words....

Falken Ziex ZE-912 225/50 on stock 15x6 wheels with a little less than a 1" drop on a full DC5 Type-R suspension.
No rubbing, no sidewall issues...

I like :) but isn't your speedometer off? I think I might run this set up next time I'm due for tires, but maybe a 225/55/15 so that its closer to the actual MPH.

All the manufacturers ok a 6" wheel. Not sure why you need proof.

Stock tire size on 02-03 EP's is 195/60/15 so according to a tire calculator 225/50/15 is as close as you're gonna get. It's only off by 1 mph, when the speedo says 60 mph, I'm actually doing 59 mph. Now 04-05 EP's have the bigger tire size (205/55/16) so 225/55/15 would be the right size for those years. These are the only wheels I have which is why I went with this setup. In the future I'm gonna go with 225/45 summer tires on 17's for the warm months and 205/60 snow tires on my stock 15's for the winter

Not so much of proof, but I'd never seen it before.

The calculator i used gave me a 225/55/15 tire but I see what your saying there.

Yea tire selection for 15's is horrible and running 195mm wide tires on our heavy ass cars is a joke. 205's aren't that much better, EP's should have at least 215mm wide tires. These were the only decent 225mm wide tires for 15's that weren't slicks. 16's are a little better but 17's.....so many tire choices

Yeah I have 205/60/15's right now and they feel way better than the 195's I had for 3 months lol. I plan on getting 16's or 17's in the next couple of months if everything goes good.

of course your not gonna rub you have 2" of clearance all around. Im on 225's front and rear and dont rub and am just tucking.

mitch, do you rub any with the 235's?

my rears are trimmed partially and rolled but will still rub a bit when i hit a big bump. however, i'm only running about -.8* of camber all around so with a little more camber i don't think they'd rub at all

It's less than that, the angle I took the pics from make the wheel gap look really big. It wasn't so much about if they rubbed or not but that 225's do fit on the 02-03 EP stock 15's.

How wide are the wheels you're running? Fuck it, go the next level 245/40/17 :biggrin1:

17x8. i would have gone 245s but i don't have the power to put them to use and i wanted to maintain a bit of sidewall rigidity
