So I picked up a set of 2 Piece Enkei RS-Evolutions today for really cheap ($300). They are in good condition, but could use a bit of work, so I'm gonna get my wheel guy to refinish the barrels and I'm gonna get the faces powder coated, but im not sure of what colour. I'm thinking of doing the centers in gunmetal or possibly white.

Actual Wheels I got

Can someone photoshop the wheels in either Gunmetal with polished lip or white with polished lip? Also keep in mind they are going to be going on a NHBP EP with a full Type-R kit on it.

I'm thinking of going with Cosmic Grey Pearl for the spokes to match everything under the hood....

Its a light gunmetal with a bit of a blue tint to it..and it looks good on NHBP...thoughts??

Either color will look great. I currently run some gunmetal 16's kind of gray with a purplish tint, different to be sure; and my second set is also 16 but with a lower offset and more aggressive face. Same wheel just wider and lower offset. These I had the wild hair up my butt to hand polish. ....Dont do that. It took a full week and a half afterward before my arm completely stopped hurting. Not to mention the years I took off my life breathing in paint stripper and aluminum dust. They look great though for a half ass polishing job.

I am envious though. That is a good score. Two piece RS-E's and RP 01's are a rare bird and still look great almost twenty years later. Very nice find indeed.

No silver...i have a thing against Silver..donno why.

And yea, I'm super happy with them. The guy I bought em from was probably like 45-50, has had them on his 91 GSR for the last 15 or so years, no idea what they were, just knew he paid alot for them ($460 a pop new). And was getting rid of them because he could afford new tires.

Anyways, I think these are going to be a winter project now...I need to get some new springs/coilovers...found I broke one of my front springs when I went to mount the wheels...I added pics of the rims mounted at the top.

Very nice.

I have been contemplating painting my polished wheels white, but damned if I didnt shorten my life with the polishing!!! Its all good.

Again, great find.

So i got the tires dismounted today and found that there was a weird bead of silicone on the barrels. So I took the valve out and took a better look at the wheels....they aren't 2 piece, but 3 piece. So im really really fucking excited now..lol. I also called around to a few wheel refinishers today and I got quoted about $200-300 per wheel. So I think I'm gonna take on the task of prepping, polishing and painting the wheels my self. I'm gonna get them professionally clear coated by the bodyshop next to my work, but it looks like this is gonna be more than a fall project now.
