Grinding noise when shifting into 3rd?

Yea, whenever I shift to third at around 5k rpms or more, I get a grinding noise that sounds nasty. And it's ONLY 3rd gear. Would anyone know what it is by any chance?

I bought the car at 80,000 miles and it came with a brand new clutch. right now it's at 85,000 miles.

welcome to the club. EPs came with shitty syncros. change your trans fluid and it should help

That trick doesn't work. And if it does its just a temporary solution. Time for some carbon synchros
