im looking to do a little brake upgrade to help fill up my gram lights a little more, ive heard that the dc5 type s calipers and 02-06 type s and 06-11 fg2/fa5 rotors will work on our hubs, now i know the rotor will but will the type s caliper really bolt to our knuckle and allow use to use the larger rotor?

Based on EVERYTHING i read up on during researching my upgrade.. yes, direct bolt on .

provided your wheels clear it..

Yes. RSX-S calipers, pads, and rotors are a direct fit. The MC and proportioning valve work fine for everything but hardcore track use... even then they arent bad.

i heard u might need to upgrade your break booster if you do this? if you do i have a set of 05-06 type S brakes laying around.

I'm on my stock booster with a non-abs 01-05 civic proportioning valve with zero issues on 05-06 brakes...only problem I had was when I swapped I wanted to use the RSX-S knuckes with 5 lug(Mine being an 03 4 lug at the time), so I had to buy new 02-04 RSX-S knuckes, wheel bearings, and hubs :/

Does anyone think it'd be a good idea to take the proportioning valve off the rsx too?

I didn't when I first swapped brakes and I had no issues...I think the brake booster is about the only thing too different

I've driven mine pretty hard with 150+mph stoping/slowing down and "spirited" driving on my stock ep3 booster and master with not a single issue...don't think I'll ever change.
