OK so my wife has given me the OK to spend like $650-$700 on the 15th for some new wheels for the EP. I am getting tires from my work through payroll deduct so this does not need to include tires.

4x100

Just give me some good ideas.
I've been looking at the obligatory Rota Slipstream and Grid in white.

Also the Konig Daylight in Orange.

I've been shopping JHPusa any other places I should look?

I was looking at 16's and I am dropped but I'm on coilovers so it adjustable.

I was offered to buy some nice polished Mugen NR wheels local but the are 15's and $1100 but it does include tires :/

Please don't put 15 inch wheels on your car, even if they're Mugens.

that's kinda what I was thinking. those wheels just pull you in though!

But no matter what you do 15's look goofy. Somebody will disagree with me I'm sure but the way I see it you end up with either tiny donuts on the corners, huge tires making the wheels look dumb (balloons), or you dump the hell out of the car to try to hide it--which looks equally awful and handles like ass.

I think the trick with getting a good deal is to keep an eye out everywhere, put out feelers with friends who are on all the forums and WAIT. Don't let the money burn a hole in your pocket and don't convince yourself that you "have to have them by ____ date."

hmm...I'm losing hope in really finding a set i'm happy with...thinking of just dumping the money towards kpro. Looking to purchase a k20a at tax time. I guess this would cut down the cost at the time of purchase as well as down time.

Like others said, I would not recommend going with 15s. If you want form than I say 17s are the best for looking. I have been using xxr 527 for almost 9 months never had problem. Love the offset they give. The only problem is you have the roll the fenders if you are lowered. This how mine looks like. Sorry for pic. quality. 6253

Eibach Sportlines, but right now I still have gap. Needs Coils.

Red roof?

Yeah, I always get that reaction from people. I like being different, its better than having same with others. Some say they dont like it, some ask me about where its have been done. Its the colors of mugen`s logo. Black, red, yellow. Which is placed on my windshield to help people understand. :)

Newb question: you have to roll the fenders if lowered on 17s? How lowered are you?

EUB44

It depends on your rim width and offset. I had to roll because I have 17x8.25 with +25 offset, which is wider than stock 17 wheels. So width, offset and drop play the big role.

Just noticed the other day Tire Rack is running a special through the end of this month, 15% off O.Z. Racing Ultraleggera wheels... would come in a bit over the OP's price range, but still not too bad... high quality, nothing too flashy/trendy (i.e. timeless imo), 15 lbs each for 16". I've always loved these wheels, seriously thinking about jumping on this deal before the end of the month. :mwink:
