New Camshaft Problem!!!!! Please Help!!!! [Archive]

Okay so today I finally decided to bite the bullet and change my galled up exhaust cam. I got ahead of myself and forgot to lock the tensioner first and didnt realize it until I had removed the cam holders. I quickly fixed the problem by removing the tensioner and replaced it with a new one. After correcting that issue I completed the cam install with no problems. Now that everything is buttoned up I cannot get the car to start!!! It started up the first time I tried to start it but it was very weak and died after about 5 seconds and I havent had any luck since then!!

I am planning on checking my timing tomorrow along with checking my valve lash. Has anyone else had this problem?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

There's a thread on here not to long ago, someone had the same issue as you doing the cam install. Thread is prolly on page 1 or 2
