so my turn signals and emergency lights barely work, meaning they would blink once or twice after i turn them on and then stop working. sometimes they wont even blink at all if i flip the signal. i switched the fuse, but that didnt fix the problem so im stumped. would it be the relay and if so, how much would it cost to fix this problem?

Are any of the bulbs blown? Have you recently done any work on the car near any of the lights or the hazard switch? It the stick with the light switch damaged in any way?

I'm going to guess its your combination light switch. About 90 to do it yourself.

Btw a fuse isn't going to make things work intermittently. A relay possibly but unlikely.

i would put money on the relay, or an electrical short. The Ep isn't known for having the best wiring to the headlamps.

the bulbs arent blown as they do turn on periodically (maybe 25-30% of the time)

would that be the actual turn signal switch? to the left of the steering wheel?

also, my headlight/highbeam switches works perfectly fine. its just the turn signal and the emergency lights. i dont know if that has to do with combination switch

Find the flasher relay then. I would put money on that before I would even think about the combination switch. And you are talking less than ten bucks to fix if it is the relay.

i believe its the relay too. and by the way.. HOW THE HELL DO YOU GET THE FLASHER RELAY OFF?! cut my hand a couple times trying to pull it out, its in the most inconvenient spot. looks like there is a tab on top and bottom, but i i dont know if im supposed to squeeze the tabs and pull.. anybody?

I honestly don't know where it is off the top of my head. Never had to change it..... Yet. I would have to find mine and get back to you.

Check the fuse box under the hood, you could be shorting out, especially if they are new lights,.

i would try cleaning up the grounds too, but its probably the relay

it was definitely the relay. bought one for $20 after shipping at hondapartsunlimited and swapped it out. now its in working order and i dont have to cut people off!

Don't mean to resurrect a dead thread -- but I'm having the same issue.

Just to get my ducks in a row, I'm going down to honda to buy this part. Can anyone tell me where the relay is actually located?
I assume the under-dash fuse box?
Should I disconnect the battery before replacing this?

Lee, yes it's under the dash, you gotta unscrew (1 screw) the box and it will drop down so you can access the relay. There is a DIY post on here with pictures.

I bought this from Advanced Auto and it works.
