So i'm thinking of getting a pair of fog lights for my EP for Christmas present, and I have two ideas in mind.

1. Clear lens with yellow HID. (But will HID burn the lens?)
2. Yellow lens with halogen bulb.

What do you guys think?

I think HID fogs are overkill. I'd get nice looking lenses with quality halogen bulbs.

Agreed.
Thats pretty much my set up, yellow lenses and ....cant think of what bulbs are in there, but very bright, very effective. Keep in mind that much like halogen based HID headlight suck an HID set up is only as effective as the housings.

Experience has shown me that about 90% of the items come from the same manufacturer (usually Chinese or some other no labor law industrious nation) so simply look for the best price and vendor rating. The other 10% will be genuine OEM or some recognizable name brand.
Nothing wrong with Ebay foggies. The only issues I have heard of are in regards to the OEM style switches failing and I am going to guess they all have plastic lenses.

I'm on my 2nd set of Ebay fogs. I've been very pleased with them and can't imagine going without the extra light now. First set were cracked from road gravel - both sets had/have glass lenses. My advice - get clear fogs and go with Piaa ion yellow bulbs. Mine have Extreme White bulbs, but that's what I like.

The suggestion I always heard was to get the OEM switch and the eBay fogs. The switch is the part you want to be high quality, while the fogs are "good enough" from China.

Once again, agreed. And to further add the fog switch from the RSX is interchangeable and from what I have gathered cheaper and mire readily available than a stock EP switch.

Why clear lens instead of yellow lens with brighter halogen bulbs??

I would assume it looks better to have a bulb designed to give off a yellow light rather than a tinted lens. It will give you the "ion yellow" look without the "JDM" price tag on the housings. But this is conjecture on my part.

Don't mean to thread jack, but has anyone tried green fog light tint? And ya say it's rice all you want but I just want some opinions. Would it be the same idea as the yellow? better to get green bulbs on a clear lens or just tint?

Do you mean the light output or just the lenses. My friends E46 has yellow fog light lenses but he threw 6000k hids and his light output is green. It's kinda sick and I haven't seen anyone else running that setup.

Well I just want to know what my best options are to get a green light output from them. Whether it be from a tinted lens or that awesome sounding set up of yellow tint with 6000k hid's you just mentioned. When I saw them on a new body lancer they looked awesome (not sure what model/year) but it looked like he just had no tint on when the lights were off.

The only problem I see with having green lights is that cops don't like it. Depending where you're at, it might be illegal. I think in CA or all of USA nothing other than amber, yellow, and white is permitted in the front. So that crosses out red, green, etc. But yeah try out the yellow fog lights with 6k. I'll try to get a pic of the E46.

Are you guys talking abt smth like this?

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/ACURA-INTEGRA-RSX-TSX-TYPE-S-ITR-UNIVERSAL-CLEAR-ION-P1-PROJECTOR-FOG-LIGHTS-/310144293413?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item48360a5a25&vxp=mtr&_uhb=1#ht_3389wt_1298

If so, then it's universal fit.

Not a fan of the perfect circle shape for fog lights.
And no rush on the pics, EP is off the road till spring.

the rsx rep ions fog lenses work on the ep. almost all honda oem style fog lenses from ~2002 to ~2005 use the same interchangeable lens
