I am hoping someone out there can help me with this. I am almost done with removing my dash. I think I am to the point where if I could get this one harness disconnected, I could get it out and do what I need to do. It is on the back of the ECU and I cannot get it to budge. Please help. Is there some trick to getting this thing off? Thanks in advance.

All to replace this.

Mostly put back together. Just gotta finish the shifter and all the under pieces. Then I can move onto the coilovers.

oh wow. how bad was the removal of the dash? I have to replace the same exact panel on my interior and this dis-assembly is the main reason i've been procrastinating on this project

It wasn't super hard. I just followed the service manual. I have been putting this off for a couple of years myself mostly because I was afreaid of the steering wheel/column and airbag. Unplugging the wiring harnesses was the biggest pain because I am a dude with big hands. The wiring and getting some of those plugs to let go was the most difficult part. And just when I thought I had them all, I found another one that needed to be unplugged. I just hope I got them all plugged back in.

The other tough part, was I was by myself and the dash is just awkward to handle. Once I got it out the pain didn't stop because you have to remove the cup holder above the cubby, not just the panel. And getting them both back in there and getting the screws to where they need to be was a bit of a pain. I think my neighbor was laughing at me.

I really want to remove all of the sub wiring the previous owner had running to the rear, but I don't think I am going to have time. I have to do the suspension and fluids tomorrow before I go out of town in 10 days.

I got it mostly put back together. Just have to get the gear shift back in and the under pieces. Then wire in the parking brake wire for the new stereo and button up the dash. Then I can move to the exterior.

OK. I hope someone out there can help me. I am having trouble with getting the shift cables back onto the mechanism. Well I am having trouble getting one back on there. It seems like now it is too short. I can't get the damn thing in place. Is there a trick to this? I don't want to start a new thread and I have searched for DIY BCSS install threads and found nothing. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.
