2 questions im trying to knock out in 1 thread

And yes i just saw the title says frying and not trying .Ok so first.i bought es front sway bushings and went to put them in and they didnt fit right, there was a gap under the bushing.i took them back becuause i thought it was wrong. But my friends ep has the bushings and has the same problem.is this normal and does it affect performance negatively? Has anyone else come across this?

2nd question. So im getting an02-03 types trans with a clutch and light flywheel. The clutch is from an 04-05 type s trans. Is this still compatible? Its an fx400 clutch. I dont kno the flywheel though. The clutch is overkill for my car for sure.but for 250 and my trans its a good deal.i lime the clutch engagement has chatter but i can get past it. Does anyone have this clutch? How is it? And is it compatible with that trans?

I had the FX300 but I think that's the last one with a full plate instead of a puck style... I don't want to DD a puck clutch but that's up to you. As far as everything working you should be fine since the clutch is flywheel specific. Since you're getting both I can't see any problems.

Don't know about the bushings. Good luck frying them, maybe try some different spices with them and see if low temps and extra virgin olive oil will make them a little less chewy.

I was thinkin frying would make them stiffer. So it would handle better. I kno the clutch is overkill but for the deal im getting i mightas well go ahead and do it. If i dont like it ill just swap it out.

Use peanut or safflower oil. It has a higher smoking point.

That's odd about the bushings. I don't have then so I really don't know. If I have the time at work I check.

Thanks and got it i will. It was an off the shelf 25mm/1" bushing kit. You can probably fit a couple quarters in the gal. I was thinking i would have to get an ep specific kit but she has it on hers im thinking they are all like this.
