I screwed up the threads on the shaft where the spindle nut goes on and it's beyond repair. I already have the axle assembly out. How bad of a job is replacing cv axle(drivers side) from what it looks you just pry it out of the transmission? I didn't see a tutorial out there for ep3/rsx anywhere but maybe I missed it. Any help would
Be great.

Once you take it out of the hub assembly. Pry it out of the trans. Easy as that.

i'm using the advance auto generic brand (GSP) axles for 2+ years now. drivers side leaked grease after a few months but with the lifetime warranty it wasnt a problem

Lifetime warranty cant beat it who cares if you keep snapping them just pull them off and install new ones

when removing the axle if its super tuff to pull out its ok just keep pulling or prying sometimes it feels like your doing something wrong cuz of the amount of force you put on it. theres a metal c clip thing that locks inside thetranny that makes it a bit tuff too pull out.

yes pull!! you can get it off without removing the knuckle from the LCA but you kinda gotta angle it funny to get out...then pull
