I used to have this info but couldn't find it. I want to install a header that will fit the Type R front sway. I do not want to remove the sway as I'm using a lighter spring set up.

edit; this is initially for a K20a3.

Thanks.

dc5r header as in OE? OE k20 header primaries are a 'tad' small for a k24. Im using an OE k24 header on a k20 and loving it. I actually had some 40 degree advance work well this past week... something that didnt even work well with two race headers ive used in the past on similar builds.

Clearing an ITR bar would be a cinch since you would have to custom bend a midpipe worthy of the larger OEM header and your OEM axleback.

My only concern... and i dont think it would be an issue (and this guesstimate is likely as accurate as the guesstimate i made when i picked up the k24 header thats on my car now) is subframe clearance. The k24 header shoots straight down instead of pointing off to the centerline of the chassis like the k20 headers do. Nothing that cant be made up with the custom midpipe IMO.

Obviously the DC5R header clears the DC5R sway.
But, I also had the RSX-S header and it clears the DC5R sway too.

But... with a k24? You have 19mm added to the deck height of the block, which in turn raises the head... the header... moving it closer to the chassis... and the swaybar... etc

Hah, was trying to save a little leg work, Ba82. We are talking about a K20a3 initially. So you are still referring to the Accord header? This will give me good mid range?

Thanks, all.

As long as you use a mandrel bent 2.5 midpipe and not the OEM EP3 midpipe. That thing is garbage. lol

Heres a preliminary fitment pic... i can get you a current one if ya like...

Those are nice curves... Is that a 4-2-1 or 4-1?

i am currently running the skunk2 mega power rh with a dc5 r front sway and lca's. i broke 2 oem endlinks so i am using the corsport links and love them. i had a em 15.2mm front sway on before with oem lca,s with this header and a dcrh and i had no issues as well.

I have a Type-R sway on my car with a stock K20a3 header and it clears fine.

A recent downward shot of the header, so you can see its relation to the halfshaft...
