Driving with the door(s) open detrimental to the car?

So as the title states, is it detrimental to the car's door hinges to drive with the door(s) open?
To be more specific, I am referring to parking lot speeds 5-10 mph...just driving slow and coming to a real slow creep all the while the driver's and or passenger door being fully open. For those of you familiar with this let me know your thoughts/long term experience. I have been performing this stunt move for about 2-3 months now without issues but if it will mess up my car's door/hinges then I will consider stopping. And if you must ask why I do this, because menace and plus it makes me happy. Input is appreciated.

Not even going to ask ...but in response, yes in the long term you will end up flexing the mounting points for the hinges on the chassis, the door or possibly both.

its not even that it bends the door hinges, its really the problem that the door is a huge part of the structural integrity of the entire car. so driving with them off, I would be worried about chassis dammage more than door dammage.

but then again, ep3 doors, unlike some cars, do not bind when you jack up one corner of the vehicle, so they probably dont do as much for structural integrity as we might think too.

To the OP - not only is it safe, it's actually good for the car! You should do it regularly and slowly work your speed up every time! You should be able to get into the double digits in no time at all. Then the sky is the limit! Triple digits would be awesome! :whoa:

okay so because some complete fucking idiot rents an SLS and does stupid ass fuckin shit with it, you think you should now do that same stupid ass shit on a car you own? not to mention on a car with regular doors that hang from the front of the vehicle and are not supported by hydraulic rams on the TOP of the vehicle.
