yeah, my dog gets pissed when he sees carbon fiber hoods.

actually he does not like the si, the ride is too ruff (get it? ruff?). he prefers the smooth ride and multiple seating options in the odyssey.

i was not trolling for a fight. it just seems like the dumbest possible accessory. there are so many things a person could do to their car that would have a better payoff in terms of performance or driving experience...

Everyone knows your "Coolness Factor" goes up at least 80%when you've got a CF hood. dumbass!
Don't make me smack you with an oven mitt!

why does a mustang have foglights? why not ram air holes in the bumper?

why is water wet?

why if u flip over a shark it goes in a temp state of confusion?

the world may never know

Your logic could be spread to anything.

"Why am I wearing this heavy ass jacket in 10 degree weather? I need to run around in my boxers. Weight savings galore!"

I agree, CF hoods are a lot of money for a total weight savings that running on the tread mill would have gotten you.

However, people buy what they like.

What can you do?

Whoever thinks CF hoods suck this is all i have to say......

whats the biggest problem now? That a CF hood costs like $350 and weighs like 15 lbs instead of 50 lbs(EXAMPLE ONLY!)? Or that they look goofy to some people and not bad to others? I know one thing: If I was on the drag strip and I could have beaten that 99 civic si if I was .001 faster but I decided NOT to buy something that could have saved me enough weight to do so....I'd be pissed.

Thats just my opinion. No, I don't have a CF hood, yet.

I think CF hoods are'nt that bad an idea, and mugen agrees with me too, so to all those who cant afford a cf hood and are bitter, i say go ahead and be bitter, but deep down you want a CF hood.......dont you..........i know you do.............look at me when i'm talking to you!

ps. If i could get a CF hood it would be the mugen one :)

Actually rocks cannot dent a carbon fiber hood like OEM hood... That is the main reason I would like to get one!

and the heat of a turbo cannot warp a stock hood...
that is why I'm NOT getting a CF hood...

Gotta admit... I'm not a big fan of CF hoods myself.

How much does our hood weigh? It can't be much more than 25lbs. How much would CF weigh, 10-15lbs less?

If you do get a CF hood, at least admit you are doing it for the looks and not the weight savings... especially if you got 100lbs of stereo gear added.

If I got a CF hood it'd be for the weight. I'm not at that point and I probably wont be for this car for a long time. My CRX is another story. No I don't have any stereo equipment weighing in at 100lbs or mor taking up my whole hatch or coaxial speakers that I DON'T need up front.

and THAT is why you're supposed to insulate your a/r housing and piping.
