I'm not sure you can actually get different color halogens, which you can get projectors from depot or you can mod the existing headlight fixtures with projector units themselves. I know you may not want to do that but it's other options. But with those halogens you really can get that "whiter" look without sacrificing vision. I would just put the stock bulbs back in. I've tried them all, unless it is HID in the proper setup then you should stick with the stock oem halogen.

What's your opinion about the Sylvania zXe?

I have used the PIAA, Silverstars (both blue and red package) and a couple other random bulbs along the way. I ultimately settled on the Polarg though. Excellent light output, pretty close to an HID for a halogen and pretty good lifespan.
The Silverstars, while adequate, generally burned out within 18 months. The PIAA lasted almost as long as the Polarg, but in my experience, these 2 are the most compareable.

What would you say the color temperature of the Polag are?

They offer the most common K's available. I have a set of Pure Yellow that are I believe 3100 or 3400k, it escapes me. The Max Clear, which I found to be the purest, whitest, brightest bulb they offer is something like 4500k or 4900k? Its been a while. I used the Miracle White more often than the others though. And that is a very bright white light with blue edges more than anything. The light output with these in the EP's halogen housings is fantastic.

I just dug up my extra bulbs and the H1 Alpha White is listed as a 4300k. Keep in mind I switched out my halogen lamps for Depo projectors. The Miracle White is showing a 4300k, but to my understanding the Miracle White preceed the Alpha White as these are the newer generation. These have a blue tint to the bulb.

No worries. They generally retail for $70 to $80 but I get them off Ebay a hell of a lot cheaper. In fact there us a pair up right now for $22 shipped.
