k, here goes

Type R lips(front and rear) will NOT work on our Si/SiRs. Our bumpers stick out too far. You need to get the Type R front and rear bumpers to use the lips. Even replicas, like Erebuni's, will only work with JDM bumpers because they were molded after the JDM pieces. The Type R bumpers will work with our cars with slight modification.

the front bolts on with the removal of the 5 mph foam thing. The rear might need more mods, not really sure what exactly but the foam has to be removed also

hey suk02si... why wouldn't the replica type r front and back lips fit the jdm bumpers? aren't they moldings of the JDM typeR lips? i dunno.. not trying to flam or anything.. just a lil unsure... :)

the replica kit from Erebuni will work with the JDM bumpers but not our Si/SiR bumpers. The replicas were molded after the JDM one, so they are 'true' replicas. There is a guy out there(on ebay) making a replica that was molded after the Si/SiR bumpers.

Also, The front metal support must also be removed in order to fit the JDM bumpers.

So you can buy the JDM bumpers from Showstoppers or JDM Honda Parts without the lips, then just get replica lips and sides(which fit fine) and you'll have the JDM look without the JDM price tag

Really? the actual Re-bar has to be removed?...thats suicide in a front end collision. Your insurance also wouldnt pay out if they discovered it.

yeah, no kidding. I think it was civicracer.com who posted pics of his totalled ek, he removed it and his car was a mess after the crash.
