I wanna introduce myself. I have been lurking the forum, slowly buying parts and learning all I can so i can build my own car. I live in slc utah and have always been intrigued by not just going fast but actually building a car. Learning the science behind how an engine works what makes it go and how to make it go faster. I dunno if I'm a speed addict yet but definitely live to work on my car. Even little things like oil changes and such. I don't have a lot of money cuz I have a family but I have saved up and slowly and painstakingly searches for awesome deals on parts somi can do something.

I don't have pics of when I first bought it but this is what I have done so far...(please keep in mind everything I have done is stuff I have learned from this site and YouTube and a couple manuals. I am in no way a professional but I try )

-Type r rep wing
-Racelands coil overs
-corsport red h vinyl
-06 si seats
-Jdm Evo IV 16" wheels
-Badge less grill

Now I have slowly bought parts for a swap for a long time like...
-Crv passenger bracket
-SPEC stage 1 clutch
-f1 racing flywheel
-injen short ram intake
-karcepts throttle body adapter

And finally... K24a2!!!

I had to pick it up somehow. Here is the k20 pulled.

So lemme explain... I was working at least 50
Hours a week. Left in the morning and came home at night. It sucked. I quit and started flipping cars and now I have all this free time. I started changing the clutch because it was slipping bad. I felt like I was driving an automatic. While I was changing it i got an amazing deal on a k24a2. Since I already had the subframe dropped and the transmission off I decided to go ahead and swap the motor. I feel like its a little much for me but infigure with the service manuals and lots of time and patience I can do it. My wife has been super supportive (where before she couldn't give a rats ass...) and has helped me by buying some parts I needed. Now i have it in!!!

K24a2 swap is tits.

Those wheels look like the Lancer/Eclipse Oz rally wheels. I had wondered what they look like before. Look good. Would look slick in white!

Nicely rounded build up

I think Mitsubishi brought it back for the lancer but they are actually 4 and mine are 5 lug. they have some rash and a wanted to fix them and paint them. I wasn't sure On a color but white seems nice. Maybe paint them white and then blaze yellow plastidip for fun.
What do you guys think?

I was a DSM buff, had EVERY generation of Eclipse! 1 spyder, 2 turbos & all 4 cyl. That's how I recognized the rims. Did a little research-
That were from the older evo's... Released in the US in 99 on the 10th year anniversary Oz rally edition Eclipse. Basically just a GS(420a) non turbo with a turbo spoiler kit and these wheels. Another thing about them is they say OZ on them... But actually made by enkie lol.

Yellow is a hard color to pull off. But I guess if you plastisdip you can always redo. You should get some mitsu center caps and fill the logo with bondo+sand+primer. Will make the wheel look completely/professionally finished which ever color you go with. And you could always find the oz logo on eBay to slap on em too! Did I tell you I was really considering these at one point lol.

Do you already have kpro for your k24?

i loved the wheels the moment i saw them. thats a good idea for the center caps. im gonna do that thanks. i do have kpro! bought it brand new from a friend for $700!!!
the only thing is now i am a little confused as to how and where all the hoses go. i got a service manual for a rsx and ep3 and looked at a couple diagrams off the internet. i would love to finish up quick but i wanna make sure i have it right before turn her over.

Hey guys so I was a organizing things in my storage when I noticed that the valve cover washers looked like the top of the JDM shift boot. I took one and mocked it up to my shift boot and it fit perfectly on the top rubber part. So I went ahead and Mae myself a homemade "JDM" shift boot!
Here is the pic
