Changing transmission fluid without jacking car up - through engine bay?

I heard of some EP3 owners doing this. I have removed the stock airbox so have plenty or room to work with - anyone have first-hand experience doing it this way? If so, any tips?

I cant get a pan under the car without a jack.
Assuming you overcome that obstacle, I think the drain plug is right below the axle...
You can probly get to it by turning the wheel...
Annnnd finally you can refill via the speed sensor hole.
Awkward I would think, but doable.
