View Full Version : Inner tie rod help!!!!

so last nite i began the DIY inner tierod removal process... got the outter tierods off no biggy. rented the inner tie rod remover tool, then the trouble began. turne out the tie rods on the EP are longer than the tool. after a while of trying to come up with some MacGuyver way to remove them everything was re assembled(sans slight misalignment now)

question being, did anyone else have this issue? is ther "another" tierod removal kit with longer enxtension?

im put would be awesome as im going to (hopefully) make a 2nd attempt tonite. :/

I removed the brace too gave me some more room.

I have a 2.5" foot aluminum rod that I use as a punch. Straightens out those lock washers with a quickness.
