Nope but then again the velocity stack isnt connected to anything- it just acts as a direct air feed to my CAI. I have a hydroshield on the filter to keep it clean/ dry.

I trimmed the crap out of the stops on my auto tensioner until it held boost. I even picked up the tensioner bracket from the 06 Si kit that moves the tensioner forward to add even more tension- its been a PITA with all the tensioner and belt stuff but i have it down now. No AC here

Hey,

Yea, if you put that plate on, you want to trim the tensioner about 3/16ths. I'll get exact specs for you. I had a spare made for myself when I did it. I went through a ton of belts and pulleys for right combo. I have to drive but ill post up more info.

lol yea i went to town on my tensioner- the tensioner stop is pretty much non existent.... but belt slip is no longer a problem. Going to upgrade to a bigger crank pulley over the winter so the fun game of 'find a belt' will start all over.

The skeletor is 6.39 inches big, the next size down is 5.95 I believe. So figured 1/2 inch shorter.

I'm running 3.2 blower, skeletor crank. Running a 90mm tensioner pulley with the gator back 4070645 belt.

But they sell a 80mm tensioner pulley too, I'm going to run tha with the 4070640 belt and see how much tensioner room I have left.

If you need any help/advice LMK. I'd be glad to help. The autherntic mugen duct comes with a bar that goes between the bottom of duct and the top of the lower grill. I suggest you improvise something to prevent sag.

I need to get this pig back on the road. JDM bumpers are not fun to fit when you have a big front mount and CAI in the way.... But all is not lost- pics to follow later this week. Finishing up a fresh alignment with new inverted tie rod ends and cusco rear sway along with cleaning up my tune now that i put the iAT sensor after the cooler core in the manifold. Near future will see a fresh tune with new cams and IAT sensor installed- stay tuned

Been a while...Couple updates:

Starting the winter project: hoping to push the JRSC to new limits. By spring- id expect it to be one of most powerful m62 powered EP's in the country ;)

Retune apt scheduled for next week: 06 TSX cams installed- no other change to setup. I want to see how much better, if any, the bigger intake cam works in my setup. Then its back under the knife for a couple months. Expect to see a fully ported, cooled, lightened, coated blower with a new pulley setup- aiming for 13-15 psi this time around. A new fuel return setup is also in the works to compensate for the higher boost pressure, as well as testing out e85. I am also considering a custom 3.5in CAI with a dual nozzle setup for the meth injection. Meth, e85, after cooler, snout cooler... Should get interesting ;)

Also sourced a new JDM front end for my Airwalker Japan front lip to change up the look a bit. New pics and vids (hopefully) to follow retune and tear down. Stay tuned.

Loving the new project I would like to do something similar but I'm a little girl when it come to redoing fuel lines. How do like the ktuned dip stick and do you have a pic of those slim fans intstalled in the bay. I like that clean look of just the fans

The braided lines and fittings were a PITA but should be worth it in the end when i can use e85. The Ktuned dipstick is really clean and fits really nicely. Im only using 1 slim fan since ive deleted the ac long ago- ill have pics when i get the rad back in the car. Im just waiting on my modded supercharger to come back so i can put her all back together

And what cams are you running? I read that the k20a intake and k20a2 exhaust cams are the best combo for supercharges. This was from hondata. There reasoning was the aggressive intake cam allows more compressed air in while the less aggressive exhaust cams prevent blow through. (Letting some of the intake charge through the exhaust due to valve overlap)

Im still on the original 04 tsx cams with a 50deg vtc gear. I read that hondata article a long time ago- honestly when it comes to OEM cams, gains are pretty minimal. I wouldnt worry so much about them. Blower cooling and airflow are more important with the roots superchargers

Soon enough. The passenger seat rail had to be shipped from japan so im waiting a couple weeks for it. I havnt even opened the box with the new seats in it lol. I need to paint and fit the new oem bracket for my shift cables before i tackle the interior- the Ktuned bracket fits a little crooked and adds a bit too much preload on my shift cables for my liking- makes the shifter want to go back into 1st gear when going to 3rd and 5th.

It works- i have oem cables with mine. It just looks a bit crooked and feels like it is adding a bit too much pressure on the cables- getting the car into gear is a bit of a chore... And it likes to go back into first when going to 3rd and 5th. Idk if i can adjust the bracket at all- im gonna have to look. If i cant adjust it im going back to the oem bracket- a show piece is not worth a miss shift and possible hurt motor/ tranny.

There are spacers included that help it adapt to any k series trans. Flip your bracket over- are there any Allen bolts on the bottom that hold it together or is it all 1 machined piece?

No i have the newest one- if there are Allen bolts under the bracket you can probably loosen them and turn the forks so that the cables line up better with the shift mechanism. It might take some tinkering but it shouldn't be too bad.

If your gonna cut that bottom piece out of your bumper like mine- i suggest investing in some black spray paint. The unibody will be exposed and it looks like shit- i bed lined mine black. I honestly cut mine because my exhaust had burned up most of it so i was looking to clean the area up a bit before paint. Turns out it looks pretty good when done right:

Worst case possible. Charger devoured itself internally and the pieces made their way into the motor. Blown charger and motor... We like to call that SOL. Pics dont do it justice... RIP.

Yea- it was the highest JRSC k24 to date. I was told the blower could easily handle the abuse after all the mods to it.... Turns out that wasnt the case. Im waiting now to hear back from Steig about the cause of failure for the blower.

On a brighter side- i got a call today from Stiegemeier regarding my blower. They are condemning it but are looking for a new core. So it seems like they intend to replace it and make things right- which is good to hear. Now i just need to see if replacing my motor is more cost effective than rebuilding it.

^^ THIS. Being boosted was fun. My ep was legend around my area. I destroyed everyone who tried messing with me. A few weeks ago before she gave, we hired a new employee with a new SI. I showed em my car and his response was "dude thats your car? We've been wondering who drives that" haha, i never hang out with the honda kids, so Im a mystery to everyone lol. But anyways purchased an INJEN cold air intake for my ap1 today! Gona do an exhaust next year maybe and then be done with engine mods. Maybe a shorty header but not going passed boltons. My new motto is simple and clean

Thats too bad about you selling the car. Guess we will never get to run. An s2k is a nice upgrade though- i looked at a clean evo 9 right after my car blew up... I couldnt get rid of her though- shes too sentimental to me.

I'll be putting her back together with a bit more moderation this time- swapping in a complete jdm k20a motor/ trans w/ a fresh warrantied blower from steigemeir. I'll be lowering the boost to a more practical level and giving the bay a complete cleanup. I dont care about hp figures anymore- its more about making it fun again to me.

Can't wait to see. Just one question... of ur gona stay boosted, why not just get another k24? Wouldn't it be cheaper than a k20a? That place should cover ur motor too. There part caused ur engine failure . I would just stay NA... what if this happens again? Then what ? I went to this dealership called tsjautobroker in jersey. .. they had like 3 or 4 evos u could've chose from haha. Even had a fresh gsr ...... and if u Wana get froogy they had a lambo too lol.

I found a couple 06-08 k24a2s that could of replaced mine. But after looking at what i wanted to do- between the close ratio 6speed LSD trans, the better flowing head with more aggressive cams and duo valve springs, higher compression bottom end with the better oil pump- along with the factor oil cooler and newer alternator and starter... And the added bonus of having my old k24 bottom end that i can rebuild and reuse with the k20 head if im feeling adventurous... It just doesn't make sense to pick up another k24 and start over.

The k20a cams are one of the best performers with the SC and the higher compression will allow me to run less boost and still make good power. So that should allow me to spin the new blower much less than i was before and bump the reliability up. The 2L will also mean less torque so i will be able to use more of the powerband and the 9k rpm redline means that powerband is HUGE with the sc.

The added bonus of the LSD 6speed is the cherry on top. I was planning on picking up a synchrotech rebuilt LSD 5 speed like yours this winter- you know how much that cost- def not cheap. That pretty much cost half as much as the jdm k20a complete swap- so in the end, the cost of a complete swap might seem steep up front but in the long run it will probably be more cost efficient than starting over with a k24 and my 5speed.

I always though the k24 tsx had the most aggressive cam profile ? You should hit up Dan aka 04ep3hatch. U know him. He has the red turbo ep3. We all met at bear mountain. He has a full k20a but the trans is a 5spd with an lsd

There pricey but so well worth it 2150 for a fresh trans with carbon synchros and lsd is a good price. Remember any used 6spd ur gona get is a risk. U won't know what ur getting until it's installed. Synchrotec u know what u paid for plus a 1 yr warranty .

Yea- i talked to Dan earlier. Im not really interested in picking up another 5spd and i dont think it would work well with the higher revving k20. Thankfully the place where im picking up the motor/ trans provides a warranty as well.

The newer tsx has the bigger cams but that doesn't necessarily make it the best combo for the JRSC. I think the k20z3 cams work best actually. Im trying to keep this swap clean and simple- and i think the jdm motor/ trans is the best oem combo for me now.

Nitrous would be cool- it would work great with the supercharger. But I already have meth injection so I am sticking with that. And i do have my old k24a2 laying around- it's down... Not dead.

But neither of which are on order- adding a little bit larger crank pulley for more boost, a nice progressive meth controller for better flow control, and I'm building a custom 3.5in cold air intake.

Sounds awesome! I seen that coupe that Jeff evens tuned that had a blower and nitrous. It laid down some impressive numbers but do you only run e85 or gas with meth

Im not too far from having everything for the 2.2 build (but the bearings, gotta pull the block apart). Im hoping it will be everything ive wanted powerband wise.

I saw Mugen released a 2.2 stroker kit. I think it was like 5K tho. 0_o

I mostly run e85 but I have a 93 pump gas tune as well just in case e85 isn't available. I still drive the car all over so I didnt want to worry about getting stuck. I use the meth with both- it's just added cooling. It works well with both fuels.

That's badass! How easy is it to go from tune to tune? I was thinking about this as well but not sure if Kpro had this ability.

I have a small laptop that I keep in the car if I want to change tunes depending on what's available. The car runs ok on 93 with the e85 tune- it's just a bit rich. I have limped the car home a couple times now that way when i forgot the laptop. You just don't want to beat on it obviously

Update.
Winter is here- have a couple things going on. Next on the list:
TSX crank pulley
Aem ver2 progressive meth controller
AIS 18gph meth nozzle
Kpro ver4 upgrade
Merc racing updated aftercooler reservoir
Custom 3.5in CAI

So far- the meth controller has been kicking my ass. Whether it was the first controller being bad to now the wiring connector being bad- I have been chasing these electrical gremlins for days now. Put the controller to the side and got my custom intake sorted and the crank pulley installed. Enough bitching- pics

Sick loving that intake

Thanks man. I wasn't sure if it would fit but once I got into it- it ended up fitting better than my 3in intake... Especially since it fits behind a jdm bumper without rubbing. I just got my new meth nozzle to complete the front end of the car. Now if only the meth controller would play along...

Thanks for the kind words. The grill is a eBay blank- It's a beater jdm front end so I kept it cheap and simple for winter use.

And she's broken again... Damn wheel bearings are toast. So... Another rebuild. Bearings/ hubs/ RCA/ extended studs/ spacers are in order for all 4 corners. Tear down time... Now if I could only find someone to roll my rear fenders in the north country

I won't shave them- I feel as though that's just asking for trouble. I'll probably just roll them a little bit myself- I'm only trying to fit a 5 or 10 mm spacer all around

Loved your clean SC setup. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with the Turbo setup. Good Luck!
