Looking for something to clean my wheels, grabbed some kitchen degreansing cleaner; easy-off bam.
Used a simple 2-sided sponge.
Results speak for themselves, never going to use anything else, this was a piece of cake.
Dirt you see is 5-6 years of daily driving.
Billy Mays would be proud.

Looks good, but I'd be wary about it eating away the clearcoat on the wheels.

Exactly this. I use wheel specific cleaners for a reason.

There are a lot of shitty wheel specific cleaners that don't work. Obviously one would check the msds on the item before using it. In this case, the bam is safe for clear coat. If you prefer to drop $15 on a can of wheel magic, obviously that's your prerogative. The companies charge so much on those because wheels are not easy to clean.
This stuff is discontinued anyway I've since found out so perhaps this thread is a moot point.
Thanks for the input though. Please share the products you use.

easy off bam, i'm assuming.

I want some P2R gel or whatever it's called. But this thread makes me want to take my wheels off and clean them instead of just spraying and scrubbing during car wash.

i NEED to take mine off and clean them but they're rota's and i dont wanna put anything on there that will strip the paint. I've seen eagle1 wheel cleaner do it. so far i've just been using simple green. it works okay and it keeps the brown off the sidewalls.

I highly suggest 1z/einzett Colourtec wheel cleaner for a safe effective cleaner for all wheel finishes. Sonax Full Effect and Shine Supply Cool Guy are great wheel cleaners as well.

this is a GREAT suggestion for people like me who have winter wheels that have been ruined by lack of cleaning. obviously i could give a shit less about any clear coat... that long gone considering how the brake dust is well into the face of the wheels.
