I would guess that you have some wiring issues if you get these two at the same time...
Not sure, got to see and check the grounds on main relay, gauge assembly, bulbs, I think 15A fuse under the hood that is responsible for ELD and VTEC oil pressure switch for the other code that might need replacing.
It could be many different things and have to check them step by step... A Helms manual would really be helpful to you at this time, there is just too much to go through, have to test all of this, could be as simple as replacing a sensor or fuse but could be a more serious problem.

ok so i fixed two of the codes but the two that remain are the p0420 and the p1298 eld. Is there any way if i can find out if the eld is the cause of the p0420 code? If not how can i tell if the 02 sensor that is bad is the primary or secondary? I called honda and they said to replace the eld relay that i had to replace the whole fuse box under the hood, I call BS. Is there a part number for the eld relay that i can use from another honda?

Thanks Jpax, what about the 0420 code? Would you think CAT or o2 sensor? would a defouler work? I have 160k on the motor. It runs smooth doesn't really feel like something is causing a blockage.

well it could be a couple of problems dam man, I would say try the defouler, but seriously might be other parts of the emmission system, pvc, idle control, test with another o2 sersor but if it goes bad in 6 months then you know something up stream is doing the damage.
