So I am new (obviously) and I am very happy I purchased an EP3! Got it back at the end of September and I have been loving it ever since. After owning a good collection of Honda cars (94 GS-R, 01 AP1, 04 AP2, 08 CS1), I am glad to say I finally have the best of both worlds when it comes to fun and economy.

Here she is.

Plans include...
Tein Street Advance coilovers
Rays G07WT wheels (which I already own)
Mugen rep or original rear wing
Mugen rep or original front lip
Buddy Club short shifter
PW:JDM Fogs and amber sides (in the mail)
And many others....

Oh, I will soon. Gotta really make sure they will fit though. They are 17x9 +63 so some spacers are gonna be needed, also I am feeling some fender work will also be done. I am determined to run them though. Had them on my AP2 and they have been sitting for almost 2 years now.

Horrible pic but I hope they will fit and look good on the SSM as they looked good on the other SSM.

From your mod wish list I'd def say get the BCSS or even the springs.

Thanks for the warm welcome, site seems to be somewhat more active than clubep3. Yeah, I was thinking 20mm spacers as I have seen 17x9 +45 wheels on an EP3 before with minimal fender work and camber. I am gonna borrow a buddies spacers and see how the wheels fit once I get my coils and go from there. Forgot to mention my Do Work Son shift knob. I have put 3 different knobs in the car already and find that a tall weighted one is best for me. Here it is.

See you flipped the shift boot collar too. Looks good. My issue with metal knobs is they can get real hot in the sun. I have a spherical knob now but it lacks a little weight...
That s2k looked bad ass btw!

I loved the S2K, really miss having one but the mileage was killing me. Driving 350 miles a week just on my work commute was costing me too much in gas. Might get another one in the next few years as a weekend warrior. And yeah, metal knobs have some downfalls. I might replace it anyways so we will see. Probably gonna get the PW:JDM Acetal Copolymer knob for warmer weather. I love the weight though.

Welcome and good luck with your new EP.

Can anyone vouch for the 17x9, +63 wheels fitting with 25mm spacers? That's still 29.25mm wider than stock on the inside (49.25 - 20) . My 16x8.5, 37 offset rears didn't fit until they were about 12.5 mm wider on the inside with a 1" drop.

Ubeyo, it is actually the silver dash. Photo kinda overexposed and made it look white. I really wanna get a black dash, don't really like the silver. As for the wheels, if I can't get them to fit I am still keeping them. No way in hell I would let go of the Rays, they are discontinued as far as I know. Plus if I get another S2000 they will go right on it.

Welcome! The AP1 looks sick, can't wait to see the wheels on the EP. As others said you'll need some big spacers to make them fit.

Just ran outside after reading how easy it is to change the sidemarkers and did that.

Now I am researching all the LEDs I will need to finish doing my lighting. Already did the interior bulbs and I am in love with the quality of light you get from LEDs. All white up front and a red LED festoon in the back. Going to do the 5W Cree LED conversion for my reverse lights, found out that the reverse bulb is in fact NOT an 1156/7506, but it what I believe to be a 921 wedge bulb. Now time to order stuff. Also staring at these bad boys every day in anticipation of installing them.

The sidemarker swap is silly easy. The first time I did them, I couldn't believe it was so simple. The next time (the first were colored, then I bought proper ones), I accidentally broke a tab & super glued it thinking that would suffice. I came back to my car & had a line of glue. That was awesome....

How has the wheel fitment experiment gone?

Also, re: hot shift knobs, get someone to crochet a cover for you. I have one I've had for years & has been over my Tommy Kaira knob since 2008.

Terrible knob picture:

The fitment experiment is slowing churning. I finally sold the coilovers I had in my MY09 Accord coupe so I can now buy coilovers for the EP. Tein Street Advance it is! Once I get those on I am gonna test fit the Rays wheels and take some quick measurements, then borrow my buddies spacers and go from there. He has 25mm spacers so I feel that is a good place to start. I am also in talks with Fifteen52 about some custom TurboMacs. We will see and I will surely keep this post updated. Or maybe I will start a build thread.

Decided to buy some LED reverse lights this past Monday. Arrived today and installed tonight. Amazing results. Posted a page in the Lighting thread.
