I'm on my second CAT. I think I've replaced both O2 sensors. But my engine light finally came on about 3,000 miles ago and stays on most of the time. I've got 213,000 on the car, and I'm tired of chasing the damn engine light at this point, so I've been letting the damn light glow.. Runs fine with it on. 2 more years until next emissions check. But lately I've been noticing the engine light will go off when my tank is near empty. I fill it, and it will stay off for 100 miles or so then come on again. Get low on gas, the light goes off. What could be causing this effect?
