How do you feel about those wheels after having them a while?

What are they, and what size, if you don't mind?

17x7 Enkei RP-01 @17.6 lbs

215/45/17 Dunlop SP sport FM901

Very light cast wheel. The offset is perfect on the EP.

17lbs is actually pretty heavy.

17 1/2lbs is good for a cast 17" wheel ( a least GOOD for my wallet) plus four of those wheels wrapped in dunlops and shipped cost less the two forged spoon/mugen wheels with no tires and the wheel design isn't flashy/bling bling just a 5 spoke. Most other companies 17's are around 19-20lbs and so on...

it is a weight to money compromise.

I knew i recognized them, but i think they may be a discontinued model? My buddy is trying to track a set down for me. The price is right, and damn they look tight (he he, rhyming is fun) But how did you put that sweet "H" centercap there? Is it the stock si one, or did you have to get another honda cetercap from another car? Please tell me, thanks :)

The offset is perfect on the EP.

Also, what do you mean by the offset is perfect for the EP? Does that mean that the tires dont rub, or kick rocks out of the wheel well? If you can help me understand offset i'd apreciate it. Thanx

just my opinion; the wheel sits nice and flush with the side of the car. The offset is good b/c they are not to far out or inside the fender. no rubbing here.

Centercap? yes it is the stock one off my 15's fit's like a glove.

1010tires.com $119 + or - for each wheel

Thanks allot man, just one last question. Did you lower your car? If soo how much is the drop? 1", 2" ?!

CivicHB
01-20-2003, 12:27 AM
Progress aprox 1.75" on all four corners...but I think it sits a 1/4 inch higher in the front for the engine or some mess like that.

Anybody else with progress sit high in the front?

for reference enkei RP-01 offset is 40mm

my front is higher than the rear by about a few millimeters. But I think it is in appearance, but not actually like that. It has something to do with the fenders. When I went to go jack up my car, I noticed I have a harder time getting the lift under the front of the car, than in the rear....hence the front is actually lower.

Does anyone know who makes honda's oem and optional wheels (all years and models)? I know enkei makes the 96-00 civic HX wheel, but correct me if I'm wrong...

I agree CAST 17" wheels are usually 17-21 lbs a peice.
All cast wheels are heavier...if you want light either go small or take out a loan and 50,000 52 peice rims (exageration of course)

I think the wheels compliment the car nicely. Also, my monitor is really messed up and dark. You say you've got RSX-R side skirts??? I need to move over to another computer!! What's the fit like???

Good pics, nice looking car. I actually like the wheels too... I think they look like improved versions of the factory wheel on the SVT Focus (don't shoot me for saying that). That said, for some reason, I really dislike the wheels on the Focus, but I think that it looks really clean on your car... nice job!
