Alright guys so i went with the pics sonic posted and tried to copy what he did. Keep in mind that this mod will not protect you if you ever get rear ended. Unless you reinforce it. But atleast you will have a rear rebar so they cant pull no bs on you... This is the simplest way to do it. So anyways if your still interested read on! Btw im not 100% completed with it but ill post pics of it completed once its done.

Tools you will need!
-angle grinder/ grinder
-alot of cutting wheels
-vice grip table clamp
-safety equipment
-welder

1. So first you need to draw out your lines that your going to cut. Heres an example of how mine were drawn

2. Next is a ton of cutting. But once you start theres no turning back so make sure your down!

3. Now that the main parts complete, next is cutting out the face plate to block the huge gaping hole in between your rebar for a more lowkey look.
Cut as closely as you can where it bends because your going to weld the sides all the way down the rebar.

4. Once thats all cut clean them up with sand paper or a bench grinder and wire wheel

5. Line them up as good and as flush to the bottom as possible and weld the gaping hole closed.
(Havent welded it closed yet, pics soon!)

6.add more metal behind it or as much as you want to, to make yourself feel safer... Lol

7.clean up and paint!

8.mount then mount your jdm rear bumper and be safe af!

Hope this helps anyone wondering about the mod! Im always interested in positive and negative feedback!

I like the way you did this, we did mine a little bit different. These are intended for 5mph hits, the unibody will absorb the hit in a real collision.
