So I found a crack in the fuel pump reservoir and it's leaking quite a bit. I've came to the option of possibly plastic welding the crack or replacing only the reservoir itself. Majestic only sells the entire fuel pump assembly and I'm not ready to dish out that kind of money just yet. I've found some other fuel pump reservoirs separately but for other honda models of the same generation.

My two questions would be, how would I find out the compatibility of the reservoirs, and if I do plastic weld, does anyone happen to know the type of plastic it is composed of?

The website i linked says it fits the 2002 EX, which has the same part number for the fuel pump assembly as the ep3. So essentially does this mean it will fit?

if it was me,
I would go directly to Honda and get the ep3 part.
you don't want to be guessing with fuel system stuff.

nice avatar pic btw......

So I just plastic welded and I didn't effect the cracks by making them bigger, just plugged them up. And it still leaked. I used ABS plastic as my filler but my guess is that it's probably a different composition so the plastics didn't stick to one another. If this becomes too much I'm just going to have to dish out the money.

also another thing to mention is that these fuel pump assemblies are sourced from other manufacturers and not Honda themselves. Majestic lists KAUTEX as the maker and mine is made by DENSO.

...and thanks, our cars are like photo negatives of one another

you could always take advantage of the situation and go for a modified fuel pump.
if I was getting my hands all gassed up, I would put in a walboro 255.
even though your stock is good for 300+ hp. I figure while your in there.....................

This is what you need:

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=2786529&cc=1386277

The upper 'fuel filter' portion of the fuel cradle is the SAME PART as all 02-05 civics (to include the EP3) and 02-06 RSX (Base and Type-S).

Don't waste your money, the part you need only costs about $30, and if you're really cheap you can find one of the cars I mentioned in a junkyard and rip that part off for only $5, which is about what I paid last time.

I just realized this today by doing a little bit more research. Thank you sooooooooooo much, this helped a ton.
